Imagine controlling these mega ships with 1 button, or building mega ships, planes, airports, hospitals & prosthetics for the disabled in 1/10 the time. 3D technology is the future.

My sweet & smart cousin. He is definitely leading the way in 3d technology, this is the future. Incidentally what do u think of NNDM?

What an amazing discussion, thank you all! I really enjoyed the 90/10 rule and the principle that an architects design is not sacred and must be flexible to work with Indigenous communities.

Really good presentation, we need to research on our architectural language and let this be propagated. it is our form of identity, self and narrative.

Using Nsibidi, Adinkra, G'eez scripts, Bamileke patterns and Afro Fractal designs. There's huge potential.

Thank you Dr Maape for an eye opening lecture, it was an experience that took me back to my childhood and towards the future in the context of African spirituality. It was well narrated; with the due respect irrespective of different beliefs. It is certainly of most importance for architecture and curriculum thereof to be decolonised. It will be great to her more about the journey. I hope you get all the support necessary to dig deeper in finding the truth.

Good point regarding the starting point of design The industry is losing the physical human touch, in turn losing the hand craftsmanship

I'm not from Athabasca but I think a great technology course would be one that talks about mods for Sketchup to make futuristic streamlined buildings
