Hi in general you can get parameters from Google or owners clubs and compare with the readings on live data that's usually the easiest way you can most things you need on line. Or you could record your live data and post to owners forums or diagnosis forums for help.

Hi I hope you are well, my topscan reads the vin from a vauxhall insignia I recently had just fine maybe await feedback from topdon, you could try accessing it through manually make & model or on eobd may help

Hi Andrew yes that is correct customer service goes a long way it's nice to have help on hand if you get stuck with a product.

Hi yes there is like a quick start guide with it and it can be downloaded from topdon, when you first fire it up you need to use the app to update the firmware before you do anything you will know when the vci is connected as it will turn green at top of screen and beep, to get to settings you click on the far right bottom symbol it's a little man from there you have vci manager and the option to update. If you are still stuck I will try and make you a video just let me know I don't mind doing that to help. It's a fantastic piece of kit it really is.

I have made a post about it if you look at my posts section you will see pictures I have highlighted what to do. Hope this helps 🙂

Hi mate yes it carries on for a wee second due to pressure in the pot , it was blowing off for me so I stuck a jubilee clip on the line to stop it blowing off it was perfect after that, you can buy a line from JBL that has a cone connector on one end which also helps

Also the reaction of the liquid with water makes it foamy so that is happening even after releasing the trigger hope this helps

Hi yes mine is perfect now it was the original unit I had it had issues so was replaced new unit is perfect, however I did notice that sometimes it won't auto connect to the dongle if this happens you go into the vci button top right and it takes you to connecting screen you simply click on dongle and it should connect that way. Most of the time it will auto connect tho.

@@RevTuningDiagnostics Thanks. I was going to try my wife's phone first, thinking maybe it was my phone, but I shouldn't have to use a specific cell phone. I have no trouble connecting via Bluetooth to other devices.

Yes absolutely you just don't get any of the new vehicle releases but still fully functional as it was

I am confident it will using the live data function however some of these functions are vehicle manufacturer dependent and the tool may be able to but the ECU may not on the vehicle

Yes, the Artilink 400 exactly the same unit, just no button on the plug.

I have just checked Amazon it does show button for light so I'm not entirely sure why your one doesn't, where did you purchase it from?

@@RevTuningDiagnostics Yeah, bought on Amazon. I’ve looked at a lot of listings elsewhere as well and they show units without the button on the plug.

@@RevTuningDiagnostics Just had an email back from them. The LED plug has been discontinued, in the AL400 at least. Would have been really good to have known this beforehand. Still a good review from yourself though!

Hi I find the Volvo fine to work on but it is an older car 2006 but you are correct many of the newer vehicles for a DIY mechanic are very complicated

Hi mate yes fantastic little tool highly recommend it working perfectly for regens however you must make sure that all the parameters are met or the vehicle won't regen. If there fault codes it may not regen as these could in some way be linked to regen. I have regenerated ford Kuga, Volvo S60 and a Peugeot partner so far.

You may well have a dirty/ semi blocked dpf if the vehicle has faults there is a high chance regeneration will fail and could well be why it has so far given problems, please remember to change oil after regeneration as it can contaminate oil. So first find the cause of faults repair those and then try regeneration otherwise you will have same issue every time Hope this helps. If I can assist any more please let me know.
