I finished in 127 minutes. This was a super tricky one to solve. My brain seemed to hone in at the bottom left and I saw that there was a limitation on how many and what kind of high digits can exist in the cages of row 9 and column 1. It took me a long time, but I did see that r9c1 had to be low. I couldn't see much of anything. I thought about what would happen if the 10 cage did not have a 1 and saw that it broke. That forced my 1 in column 1 to be in box 7. Other than that, I found nothing. I was able to see that r6c4 had to be high, but that was it. I decided to do something I rarely and try out SET Theory. I took row 9 and column 1 as one set and compared it to box 7. That gave me r6c1, r9c1, and r9c4 plus the cages minus 45, which was 17, compared to the rest of the German Whispers in box 7. This really helped and it forced some key cells to be low. I was able to rule out 2 from r9c1 and I started to make major progress. I maxed out the German Whisper and the puzzle practically finished itself. If that is the intended way, the that is one of the trickiest puzzles I have done. Regardless, I was really happy incorporating SET Theory as that is my weakest skill. Great Puzzle!

I managed to solve this in... a comparable time to Simon's, and am now 2/3 of the way through watching Simon's solve, and I only just now realized... I never used the rule that no two rows, no two columns, and no two boxes can use the same set of digits! I wonder how much less difficult the puzzle would have been if I'd remembered that rule was in play?

At 54:13 I thought it was boring to find out the colours digits already, so I tried solving it without actually putting in the 5, or I put it in as a pencilmark, knowing it was there but technically not knowing 4 was next to it. It was entirely possible to completely colour the grid with green and purple 19s, 28s, 37s, and 46s respectively. I found that very beautiful since it shows that the puzzle actually always has two solutions unless you decide on which colour is low and which is high, which you do through r9c2. I was very surprised to see as well when simon was all in on colouring that he never finished colouring r6 with the rest of the greens, he might've coloured a lot more if he did that, or even, as I did, colour the whole puzzle. I urge you to try and solve it this way, it was way more fun. It actually requried barely any thinking about the lines more than some situations giving: "Oh a 37 can never go next to a 46 of the other colour".

I saw the video was over an hour, and thought I wouldn't have time to try the puzzle myself, so I started watching Simon's solve. About 10 minutes in, I'd been getting each little deduction before Simon did, so I thought "maybe this suits the way my brain works and I should have a go"... it ended up taking me two and a half hours even knowing how to get started, but I enjoyed every minute of it! (Well, apart from the point where I made a very silly mistake that took a long time to spot...)

I finished in 66 minutes. This was a very enjoyable use of geometry in a puzzle. I loved how box 5's orientation allowed some of the arrows to always equal the same number in the bulb. I think my favorite part was seeing that r5c3 and r7c5 as well as r5c2 and r8c5 were two different digits that respectively saw r7c3 and r8c2. This surprisingly solved that arrow immediately. That was such a cool trick. The rest went well and I finished strong. I really enjoyed the way this puzzle worked. It was so satisfying. Great Puzzle!

My break-in, after identifying R6C5 as a 3 because of the pythagorean triple, was realizing that row 5 of box 5 added up to 12 by virtue of roping. Since the minimum of the portion of that arrow in row 4 is 10, R5C4 is a maximum of 3. But the 3 next to it means it's actually only a 1 or 2. This means the portion of the arrow in row 4 is actually 11 (because of it were higher it would have to include a 7 or 8 and would break the arrow) and thus R5C4 can only be a 2. Since the 2 in box 6 is now NOT in the arrow, the arrow is 1-8, and now we know all the digits.
