Lovely huge Ely though the catheral was damaged some designs . I love the view to look down from the lantern .Thanks for the film and kind people

As far as I know the only way to access the stairs up to the lantern, and to look through one of the open doors to the church below (as shown in the video), is to take one of the guide-led Octagon Tower tours - see www.elycathedral.org/visit/tower-tours.

It was consecrated a Catholic Cathedral, and set aside for Catholic Worship including the Most Holy sacrifice of the Mass and the seven sacraments. In the 16th century , it was stolen from the Catholic Church by a schismatic adulterous and wife murderer king, and become a protestant house of worship under the bastard "Queen" Elizabeth I when the protestant heretics destroyed everything Catholic.
