Thanks for sharing this. How did your build hold up? I've always wondered how flexible panels would do when attatched to the roof of a van. I think you providing a small air gap is well thought out.

No problem with the air space beneath the panels - due to the uneven roof. The grooves along the car? Will no condensation and moisture occur? When sealing with tape all the way around

Yes, indeed, this video does not do this route justice - I apologize as I just watched Sharma take a run at " - DreamCatcher" and that rail is almost a roof from the perspective of his cameraman - look far harder that this one perspective clip of the climb - should have had a few more cameras there to really show off this route and how insane it actually is - shooting straight on flattens everything out and does not do it justice at all!!! Fantastic send Mr Foley - that was something else for sure!!!
@badnews93125 жыл бұрын
Of course, it is hard to tell from this perspective but to say that route is the equivalent of "just Do it" in Smith Rock seems a stretch - JDI is far far more sustained.- a good twenty plus minutes of sustained non stop 13 plus face climbing - Now this is obviously seriously overhanging and it is hard to tell how sloping the holds are,,, but I just can't see the 14d crux move, I have an idea where it is supposed to be but it is only a couple moves under the top roof from what I see ??? Maybe he is that good a climber?....or maybe this has a very short 14d sequence as it definitely isn't a long sequence nor is the climbing on either side of the crux in the 14s or even the 13s by the looks of it---- I look forward to seeing it this summer

But who cares? I bet you couldn't do JDI or Dreamcatcher. You sound like a dork.

Adam Ondra flashed JDI and fell on Dreamcatcher before the crux.

that's a pretty sketch clip to skip. Just imagine the swing he would've got if he fell on his last hard move! really impressive climbing tho.
@Brewsto6 жыл бұрын
Sharma skipped it aswell. I guess he and sharma have fallen there multiple times as that's the hardest part of the route so it's not like he's risking without knowing the consequences.
@CoNFiiDeNTiiAL4 жыл бұрын
It is actually incredibly over hung and about 60 feet to the nearest ground fall. off all the clips to skip that one is inconsequential
