Beth is dead inside. She doesn't feel love, and she doesn't know why. She can't even articulate how she's feeling. After all that emotional honesty from Calvin, Beth just walks upstairs without a word. In a subsequent scene she leaves for Houston. There's nowhere Beth can go to hide from herself: Very sad.

heartbreaking observation. so right on the money. Seeing Beth’s inability to connect or process her emotions really hits hard-It's like she’s trapped in her own emotional prison. It’s painful to watch someone push love away, and yet, -it seems to me- feel so lost without it. A tragic reminder of how unresolved grief and denial can take a toll on the soul. 😔
