They played like they were 12-4. Didn't commit turnovers, curtis martin was great in year 10, and the defense was strong as hell

2:26 - good hearing Pennington say that phrase "it's a privilege " to the media when they constantly use that same retort when slamming players for their actions on and off the field. Probably as close as you can get to getting Chad to raise his voice in anger.

Imagine had Kaeding not missed that FG though. Eric Barton would have been in the Witness Protection Program.

'85 & '91 weren't very heartbreaking. I know the Pats and Oilers beat them respectively. 1st round. What they didn't show from the '01 clip was that the Jets were one stop away from getting the ball back down 31-24 late in Oakland, before Charlie Garner ripped an 80 yd TD run ending the game.

@cuso47...honestly Im a Steelers fan and I hate that guy also....I wished he would of just made of those damn kicks so I didn't have to get my heart ripped out my those SCUM cheating ASS pats in the AFC Title game.... that was a hell of a game though....one of the classics for sure...when the Jets beat the Pats last year that was GREAT...sucks fo you that the Steelers had to beat the Jets again...LOL

The crazy thing about the whole Doug Brien thing was that he missed 3 FG's in the final 2 mins/O.T. of the game! OY VEY was that tough to deal with but I guess that's why they're the "Same Old Jets"

Well the rookie Ben Rothlisbergur threw a lot of int's against the Pats in that game which resulted in a blowout. The Jets always play the Pats tough so I believe that if they played the Pats that year; win or lose, the game would have been close, but its whatever, it's in the past now.
@Jkw71815 жыл бұрын
Ok I understand that but homefield and beating the Jets twice in the same year don't mean that they wouldve beat them a third time. The Jets "couldve" beaten the Pats that year because the Jets had a lot of momentum and they were playing great in the playoffs until the those missed field goals. They were clearly the much better team than the Steelers in that game.

You don't know what you're talking about. I don't have time to rehash the whole thing but everyone knows Herm blew that game. No one in the history of that Stadium had made a field goal that long -- and rather than run for a couple more yards and get closer, Herm sat on the ball at the end and left it up to him to hit a longer-than-necessary FG. Don't you read the papers or listen to sports radio?

I don't care, the Jets would have went to the superbowl that year in 2004-2005.

Forgot '81 too, where they finally made it back to the playoffs for the first time since '69 only to lose on a heartbreaking interception to the Bills.

Skipped over a few playoff seasons. They made it more than this video indicates. Off the top of my head, '85 and '91.

Thanks for the upload...GREAT STUFF! I'm looking forward to that Spike Lee documentary planned for Cannes 09 !! Jordan was en route to another MVP before injuring that knee. I remember Phil Jackson saying that Jordan is his MVP so far in the season during the All Star Game. Also if Jermaine O'Neal would not have fouled Kobe at the end of MJ's second Wizards All Star Game he would have been the All Star MVP. But I think us Jordan fans are complaining on a very high note :)
