Glad to be out of trucking. Drive sunrise to sunset to a customer who doesn't allow parking but hours of service will have the appointment be missed and there's nowhere else to park. Fuck that. It's not worth it.

@@AccountInactive They have 150 parking spots for people to park. That's not a lot when you have over 400 doors that has 5:00 a.m. appointments. If they allow his 11:00 a.m. appointment to park where is the 5:30 a.m. appointment for our 6:00 a.m. appointment for 6:30 a.m. appointment so forth and so on. Some of them think this is a truck stop but it's not it's a distribution center. I'm not a truck driver so I'm not sure why people don't like just going to a trucks but I do understand the frustrations of being told you have to come back. That being said I did not write there rules I'm just paid to enforce them....

@@TheAmericanDreamChaser You park as close to the customer as possible to maximize your hours of service clock. Delivery appointments are not set up by the driver's regulated hours. The driver has to work around the appointment. I've had days where I've parked off site, driven 15 minutes to the customer, then get held hostage long enough that there's plenty of daylight left, but my regulated hours won't allow me to drive, even though I've sat in a dock door and slept this whole time.

@@AccountInactive So are you saying that sometimes you guys get put in a position where you can't legally drive to the truck stop? I'm asking because I honestly don't know. I heard the clients inside tell a driver to call their dispatcher to get emergency time on their clock so they're able to get to a truck stop but I have no idea what that means. And a few driver I had leave drove really really slow and I thought they were being funny but then I heard from another driver that his truck couldn't go more than 5 mph when he was signed off or clocked out whatever the term is.

They speak real good English when they check in at the window but as soon as you tell them they have to come back or they're too early or to go to a truck stop then they don't speak English... 😭 my ticket book and wheel lock usually breaks through that confusion. Lol

This is what gives truck drivers a bad name. You were told to leave. You went and parked anyway. I drove over the road for years most facilities policies is 1 hour before your appointment time and you can sleep after your unloaded if they have room.

@@jimmieb1773 I'm glad some people understand. Lol this facility will allow them to park anytime they come if their appointment is between 5:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. the following day. His appointment however was I believe 11:00 a.m.

I had to switch out my controller because I kept having issues with it activating other equipment when more then one button was pressed at the same time. It was an off brand so can't expect much but I got the code 3z3 controller and I really like it so far.

You're talking about in the description how you thought it should have had more blood...20ish years ago my mom worked at a plant making parts for planes. As she's using the saw the fire alarm goes off and she jumps. In that jump she felt a quick burning but thought nothing of it until they all get outside and a coworker sees a green substance oozing out of a huge open wound on her arm that was almost 5.5 inches long and 3 inches wood. No blood at all, you could see bone, tendons, muscle, etc. She had 70+ stitches on the inside and the same on the outside to keep from losing her arm. She didn't bleed because it was almost the end of her shift and the saw was hot as hell and instantly coterized the blood vessels. The doctor told her if it would have happened in the first hour of the shift she would have bleed out at work.

So if it's a medical issue why are the cops getting involved? The medics can handle it just fine without your help. Go write a citation to a jaywalker or something useful. Do the medics just show up randomly at every traffic stop you make? No, they don't because they figure you can handle police matters without their help.

It isn't a Police Officer it's a private security firm hired by Costco. However, in the outside world Law Enforcement almost always are on scene of medical emergency calls.

Police FREQUENTLY respond to cover FD on injury situations because at the time nobody knows if all the facts the dispatcher got are true. People do stupid things when they are upset and can become uncooperative with paramedics, which means the cops show up to protect the FD and the scene if necessary. Hide your hatred for the cops at least a little bit. You just look ignorant otherwise.

i was working in a far smaller yard but caught a driver trying to steal a trailer. ended up his dot number was fake, the co he said he was picking up for was a lie. even his dl was out of date. plate tags were expired. co took his photo and he never came around again.

Sorry fellas, it was done and over with before I got there. The guy spoke perfectly good English at the guard booth for check-in. They then told him he was too early for his appointment and he had to leave. He didn't say okay and instead of turning around enter the property and tried to park. My supervisor made contact with him and now all of a sudden he don't speak English. 😂😅 Pretending he doesn't understand he has to leave. It was a waste of time, but half the crap we do is a waste of time because people can't just be adults. Lol I'm just showing the inside of Life of your average security patrol.

They won't let me do security at work anymore. I used to do what it took to get the job done. Wasn't always by the book if you know what I mean. The customers love the bum free, graffiti free, stink free location but they are the first to jump up your ass if they see how you get it done.

I found out later that the owner of this truck was about 2 football fields down the road kneeling down next to someone else's truck. Unsure what he was doing as he gave no real explanation. He did say he was knew to trucking but how that correlates to you kneeling down acting suspicious next to someone else's truck I don't know. you be the judge

@pureblood9477 It may appear that way I'll give you that, as my body camera did not catch the beginning. Again though you fail to realize kneeling down hiding looking side to side when I first shine my light at him. I did not even know he was there the guy in the semi truck behind him asked me to remove him from the side of his truck. Again that part was not on body camera so I give you that. I dont think you wouldn't make it as a police officer or security if you dont find that suspicious. Also from your lack of understanding, I personally don't care what any of these people do, where any of these people parked, or any of that crap however the multimillion-dollar company who contracts us does care, hints me doing my job. I called this guy's company to find out if they can contact the driver before the tow truck shows up. Trying to help him. I understand though it's hard for you to get it when you didn't see the whole thing

Most people do not even inform you. If it were a cop, they would calmly ask for your info, write up a ticket or a appear in court date and wish you a good day. Pretty simple these days with lawlessness, in Canada, law can do whatever they want to you with you. System is totally infiltrated and corrupted, all the way up to courts.

I think that there needs to be more attention payed to parking for 80k pound rigs than for 4 wheelers at this point. We have all the parking we need, so it’s about time we start letting truckers have space to park.

No sir I am not a cop. I know it appears I come off to be a jerk but I can assure you that is not the case. This is private property and this is long road, all of these guys we're sitting at the other end of the road for like 20 25 minutes and have already been asked to leave. This is a high volume distribution warehouse and these are exit Lane's they stop and block. My job is to prevent that. I try to be extremely polite and courteous to everyone but you can't do that sometimes. But I do apologize if I come off as a d### 🤣
