Biggest piece of junk I have ever seen. Mine is now securely in the trash can with battery removed. Bought it two years ago, kept it charged and the AC never worked. Junk!

What can I do when the red light continues to stay on even after trying to charge overnight? Is the battery charger dead for good then?
@shameedghany7265 Жыл бұрын
If u use the jumper cord, put the switch on the "on" position, then u'll have a direct path to the internal battery which u can then connect your float charger. This was unnecessary.

I agree with Bob Villa's comments except for the third point. "the two sides of the tip are the same connection", They are not the same connection there is an isolator in between the two side. The insulator is or is a material like mica. Other wise the spark would not be able to be developed. I would like to get more of a discription of the board in the back which has a 14 pin chip (the numbers was scratched off on mine so I could not tell what chip it is), 3 resistor (R4 is 100 ohms, R5 is 15K ohms, R9 is 1k ohms), a capacitor C1, & Q1(labeled L6) all on the same side as the 14 pin chip. On the other side is where the wires (Red, Black, orange, & yellow) from the front go onto the board. There are two diodes (D1 & D2), resistors (R1 is 150 ohms, R2 is 30 ohms, R3 is 51K ohms ,R6 is 39k ohms, R8 is 2.7M ohms, these are measured. Values are just from reading top of resistors), Can anyone identify what the 14 pin chip is have schematic? Thank you in advance,

Please note that opening or modifying the jump starter is not recommended by the manufacturer and it will immediately void your warranty. Consult your instruction manual for guidance on the safe operation of your jump starter. Please don't hesitate to contact manufacturer Customer Service for troubleshooting help.
@PowerScissor3 жыл бұрын
It's NOT legal to void your warranty for simply opening a device. A lot of people have been led to believe that if you open or repair a product yourself or seek “unauthorized” repair providers, you “void your warranty.” Many of us have seen the stickers on products, giving a warning message such as “warranty void if seal is broken.” Well, according to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) rules governing warranties, those stickers are illegal, and companies cannot automatically void warranties if you use an independent service.

Just wondering, can set the pack to boost mode and charge it through the clamps?
@quaxui3 жыл бұрын
yes the way I see it is to twerk fine
@PowerScissor3 жыл бұрын
Boost mode? I don't see any voltage at the clamps when turned on if that's what you mean. I do see voltage at the "cigarette lighter" port. Port is rated for 5A...so you might be able to charge at the port up to 5A if your charging isn't working.

Hi do you know if it matters which direction the female end of cord is connected to the device? The cable seems like it’s made so only fit one way. However on the device the prongs are the same size. I don’t want to mess up the device. I hope that makes sense Thank you

If you can trickle charge, you don’t have to do this. The existing jumper cables are connected directly to the battery, you can connect them to the trickle charger without these hassles 🤓

I tried that and couldn't locate that annoying noise maker that salon's off so I just did the mod

@True Vision works for me, you should use a trickle charger though.
@adrpals2324 Жыл бұрын
@@tq1900 I'll give the trickle charge a try and update if it works. When I connected the trickle charge to the jumper cables I had to turn the yellow knob to the ON position, so that it connected to the battery. Will update if it fully charges. Yes it does work and it will fully charge the battery. Cool thanks.

In his other comments it is stated that things might need modifications or repairs, which he is inclined to do. In this case, he modified the way the battery gets charged, so now the unit will last longer and be used more often. It's your choice of you're willing to do these modifications as well, or if you'd rather buy another unit that will work straight "out of the box"

The output is all DC you have to short it first to get it's working voltage second it doesn't get hot to do the solding the spark it sends out is doing the melting of the solder which is why it didn't get hot when you tried finding the connections third the two sides of the tip are the same connections that go to the negative connection to the batteries and the positive connection to the batteries I would love to see this tested again for voltage once you short the tip and see its working voltage
