That Duracell advert at 5:26 is a modified version of an earlier advert. In the original advert, the batteries in the other robot were Eveready batteries. This advert modified the batteries in the other robot to look more generic, possibly for legal reasons.

Just listened to this again and the female voice says: “That’s great, thanks”. Wondering if it was perhaps the Learning Zone continuity announcer being handed control from, or checking something with, the BBC Two continuity announcer in readiness for once the Learning Zone got going at 3am? Checking the day (as it is from the somewhat annoying era where they removed the Ceefax header at the top of the page) it looks like it was the early hours of Sunday Morning. EDIT: The header does briefly appear at the 9:43 mark, confirming it was a Sunday!) Not sure why they restarted the track again from the beginning of the first track of the Choco Coca tape, but it was a great tape, so was nice to hear the track being played out twice! 😆. Thanks for uploading this! Always great to see some new, archive Ceefax content!

Thank you! I posted this elsewhere and someone showed me a similar thing occurring during the start of a Harry Enfield programme. It's definitely comms between controllers cutting into the main audio. Ceefax isn't something I'm massively knowledgeable about although I am old enough to remember it well and I do get quite excited when I find it on a tape. I have another overnight recording with a larger chunk of it somewhere which I'll get around to digitising eventually.

I grew up with Ceefax from the mid 90’s onwards (just before the very bright Level 2 pages came in, which didn’t too long as it caused a few technical headaches behind the scenes I gather!). As I was going through a tough time at school, as well as revising for GCSEs and A Levels that was my background music to help out. These days it’s my early morning get up before starting work for the day. I’m guessing the comms was perhaps the handover, as the BBC Two announcer signed off to head home. Probably completely wrong on that and may never know haha 😆

I don't know why they repeated that 2001 Comfort ad when they already had an ad advertising Lily and Riceflower Vaporesse with the newer CGI models of Darren and Lisa. All they did here was change the colour at the end to pink and edit Lisa's line ''something that's new'' to ''something for you''. I wish they kept the stop-motion for the Darren and Lisa ads anyway.

This was on a tape found in the UK, which was pretty surprising because I love finding international TV! I think this was probably recorded in the UK by someone (illegally?) accessing European satellite feeds. I have 2 other uploads of Kanal E from this same tape if you're interested in those, including one with some PSAs in it.

I believe this was made for prospective UK buyers; he talks about "repatriates" in the video and refers a few times to his connections with UK property developers. fwiw my previous VCR could do NTSC/PAL/SECAM but I think my current one is PAL only

@AutomatonArchive Gotcha, rewatched it a couple times and he did mention that, it was just difficult to hear, plus the head honcho guy sounded kinda bored tbh, I would be too if you were trying to sell me property on a tropical island and the best you can give me is an ugly little concrete house nowhere near the beach 😂
