Thanks for sharing this great dive. So interesting and some really different things to see! The ‘white’ one which looks a bit like a seat almost looks like it’s made of concrete - so smooth inside.

Hey mate! Great work. I’m just getting into diving for scallops in port Phillip, yet to get any. Just wondering what depth you dive or what sort of depth you start to find scallops in? Cheers
@greatoceandivers2149Ай бұрын
Thanks. Scallops can be found in all different depths but they like areas with a bit of water movement and ground that is sandy. We dove in 12m for this dive

Hello, why do you dive why oxygen supply ? Where i live, i have to practice spearfishing and diving for scalops without air supply, its illegal and why you take the small one too ??
@greatoceandivers21493 ай бұрын
Hi mate. In vic you are allowed to use an air supply to dive for scallops. Also, don’t know what it looks like on the video but we try to avoid taking small ones

Out of interest - is the lobstere fishery classed as sustainable in VIC? Only because most places I dive in tas I might see 30-40 sized crays each dive, whereas most videos I watch from vic there are heaps and heaps of empty ledges. Maybe the crayfish don't have a natural population as high as in tas?
@greatoceandivers21494 ай бұрын
Yeah I’m not entirely sure. The population is higher here so there are probably more divers, or maybe you’re right.
@colinparker28404 ай бұрын
Definitely not Torquay Devon UK. Looked good though.

Very nice, do you just sound up new reefs or go to known spots?
@greatoceandivers21495 ай бұрын
We usually go to previously dived spots but occasionally we look for a new spot and sound around

Why you can't stop yourself from touching animals that will surely run away from you. Why are you especially scaring them? If you see a fish with camouflage, you should move away from it instead of endangering it. Scaring animals isn't cool. What's wrong with you?
