The main reason for tamil movies( despite being technically and creativity wise extremely talented) not being popular among all india/hindi audience thus not collecting 1000cr plus is their obsession for periyari content.They infuse that nonsense into almost every tamil movie they make.even when they make movies based on real life stories they make sure they follow their periyari rule book. Watch movies like soorarai puttru or recently Amaran or jai bheem you will understand what I am talking about.They even write the biopics to suit their periyari ideology.That is why their movies are enjoyed only by tamil audience and successful only at Tamil box offices. In fact when the DNA of tamil movie makers,writers,lyricists and even actors is anti Hindi how can they connect to Hindi audience.It is just impossible.
