Talk to the old man by the wall of books near the farm tree. He should update your Hunter Notes if you've been gathering tracks diligently. The higher the research level, the more info is unlocked and the less difficult it is to track a monster. If you've unlocked that whistle thing that summons the Small Monster Uber (TM), you can ride it to your chosen monster once you pin the monster (or just pin a destination on the map in general.) It really helps to get un-lost in some maps and frees up your hands a for bit so they can rest.

Kushala is a frustrating fight. I became a gunner because of him and even with ranged, hitting him is a pain.

I have to admit your Kirin hunt was frustrating for me to watch/listen to since I have hunted this horse to oblivion in previous games and in MHW that only his new moves surprised me.

My usual tactic for monsters who are new to me or I know are a PITA to fight is treat it like a bullfight. Let the monster make a move then hit them. Rinse and repeat until I am familiar with their moves. Have you been consulting your Hunter Notes? If you have collected enough tracking clues for each discovered monster, you should be able to see their weakness and resistances. Kirin has high elemental weakness to fire so a fire weapon is great to bring if your raw damage is not high enough.

You get 'titles' in way. Check your Guild Card to customize. You exchange them with other players.

You can craft from the radial menu. I usually have Mega and Max potions on mine. Not sure if you knew that already. Also, bring a farcaster. This in an instant teleport to camp without needing to be out of combat.

pro tip: build health boost 3 & use max/ancient potions for max health

You don't need just meat for rations. If you have fish or certain monster parts you have an excess of, you can roast those for rations. You get a 1-2 less rations but you get other extra supplies instead of those. Tails give more rations but only use those if you really have more tails than you use. I have a lot of anjanath tails so those get cooked a lot except for a few I keep in case of crafting.

I always chose girls. But that's because I am girl and I like the look of female armor. Male armor looks to chunky for me.

A tip from someone who passed the game twice umbral ending and normal ending don t get points in agility and strenght just the minimum to use some weapons and always check every thing whit umbral and for ez mode just search a team mate
