Tbf that engine sounded bad already at the beginning of the video. Don't know what went wrong here but it was clearly having some trouble even before the video started. Maintenance error ?

re built and moved on, R1 now a fantastic upgrade. Keeping fingers crossed this never happens again. Left the S1k too long before an engine refresh, lesson learned :)

I ride a Yamaha FZR 250 3LN1 which with proper care has served me well and still does . I ride her at the track twice a year . I do all the proper maintenance . I learnt on the 2KR in 1990 .

Yeah but at Paddock he was way too fast for his own good and that he nearly ended up in the carpark. I'd rather be at your speed-ish and at least get to that late apex👍🏻

Yeah, and his butt puckered as he just about ran out into the dirt and went cartwheeling. I used to race. Not road racing but motocross and circle track. But even I know that wasn't the line. That was a stupid dive bombing move that nearly put him in traction.

to be fare he went in far to hot , and never apext the racing line . if that would have been a race with a big field he would have wiped half the field out
