When I went there last year it was also extremely windy, there was rain coming off the Sea also but.....the views were stunning. Plus seeing waves crash up 60ft high cliffs onto the land was something else.

Good times... I drove with some mates from Perth-Cairns, took 3 months following the south and east coasts. It was a haul but I loved it, and fell in love with the country too. Need another road trip soon methinks..
