I never like boybands back in the day it was all to soft then five came along and I was like yesss this is my kind of music bought all their singles and albums.being a lad myself.was gutted though when j announced they were splitting up and the fact he never ever returned to five for the reunion i felt he owed that to his fans.never really understood why he never wanted to return he was great aswell

We have to be honest with something, 5IVE was an amazing and real boy band, not like the piece of shit of One direction. THEY HAVE NEVER DONE VOICE EDITING as the fake boy band of One direction was always doing when they were uploading the KZbin official videos! 5ive knows how to dance, many songs were written by them, they had two amazing rappers, and they are a more united group.

Simon Cowell's total lack of accountability and incorrigible attitude speaks volumes. At least Chris Herbert was willing to put his hands up and admit that he would have done things differently. Simon? He learnt nothing from Five, and he subsequently learnt nothing from One Direction which is why we're now a month removed from what happened to Liam Payne.

Thanks Honey , you are the best one ever ❤ It surprised me how different was this special show with Big Reunion. It seems a different story… years ago J was the responsible of a lot of things but now it seems like Scott and Sean have a different point of view. I do prefer this position of course, at the end of the path they all came from the same place and looked for the same thing, including J, and honestly I think the big responsible of their problems was the f** industry, as Richie said, they were like plastic dolls, sad but real.

So bitter-sweet. Abz needs to come back, and J should realise what he's missing before it's too late. Most of the bands on this program are still touring, still making money, still selling out venues. A proper reunion with all 5 members would go off!

@FedeCcoco Well, 1: he signed up for it. Deliberately put himself in the position. 2. It wouldn't be the same now like it was before. I mean, he pulled out of The Big Reunion because the PR team asked him to get a Twitter account. Like... ok, is it really that big of a deal? Also, just say no? Like, look at the current members, they live relatively quiet private lives. There's no paparazzi outside their hotel. Just touring, earning, chilling, and bringing good vibes everywhere they go. Literally living the dream.

@FedeCcoco Yeah, he hated the entertainment industry so much that he agreed to a reunion looking for another label, then went on to feature on several unrelated TV shows. Please. Whether he likes it or not, he's part of a group that sold 20m+ albums. That's more than Avril Lavigne, or Craig David, for example. It's a cultural phenomenon, and it's cruel to just thumb your nose at the fanbase who essentially made you rich and popular. Yes, you *do* owe something to the world.

Jason wanted to take part of it, but he denied, as he said through the On Tour season. He said that he moved on and never wanted to join Five again.

For Ritchie, it seemed that he and Natasha (Atomic Kitten) cheated on their lovelives just to tape for the Reunion.

the world in the 90's was very different though, alot was in its inventcy, mobile phones were basic and computers either had windows 95, 98 or 2000 on it with dail up internet, even the world wide web was new being produced in 1989 but not widely used on a mass scale and till 2000 when computers shifted to lan and wireless connections no ai or ui, econonmy and money all different, cost of living and of course the system of justice and criminal minds alike was all different and in most cases simplier, today its evolved yes its updated but theres more tougher legalitys and with it a diverse set of new criminal minds and opertunists that make our world alot un safer than what it was. i aplogise in advance for some of my spelling. :)

I think it was some weird experiment conducted by Simon Cowell in preparation for Pop Idol. 5ive were like the prototype for the format. It was as if to say, ' look I can get any 5 group of normal appearing lads and get them to sell x amount of records'. Simon Cowell even video recorded the creation of the group, which was unheard-of at the time.There never seemed to be any pretense with 5ive.They had no background story (even a fake one), and seemed to trade of the fact they were a 100% manufactured group.

New Zealand was the very first to do this with the Pop Stars reality tv show. It produced the band TrueBliss and Simon has gone on record, thanking that show for all of the success he's had with this format.
