Hello! Thank you for your comment! I'm planning to create more content on advanced grammar, complete with additional examples and possibly a PDF for extra practice. Is there a specific grammatical structure you'd like me to cover in one of the upcoming videos?

please help "(if "THERE " word is used for inversion in a sentence and it is showing "Adverb of place" As. There stood my friend.(Inverted form) If this same sentence is added to a subordinate clause, will "THERE" word become "dummy THERE". are there any such rules in english As. .......When "there" stood my friend.)) Will "THERE" become a "dummy subject" here? Or "THERE" word is still an "adverb of place" here Please reply 🙂🙂

Very good lesson, but you go too fast. It'd be better if you go little slow with a bit of explanation of the expressions with at least 2 examples... Thanks!!!

I'd be glad if you could explain the last part here "I would have made a cake if I had known you were coming". Why is it "you were coming" instead of "you came"?
@MariaEngStuff2 жыл бұрын
Hello! I'll try:) 'were coming' means 'you were planning to come'. Let's imagine a situation: You were at home and suddenly someone knocked at your door. You opened the door and saw your friend. You didn't know that he/she was planning to come over. It was a surprise to you. So you said: 'I would have made a cake if I had known you were coming (If I had known about your plans).'

Is 7 the question in pdf mixed conditional? I think it is the 3rd please let me know
@MariaEngStuff2 жыл бұрын
Hello! That is a mixed conditional. One clause refers to a past action (If I had taken his advice) and the other refers to the present (I would not have the same problems now.).
