I taste my cake mixture all of the time. I mean, I've seen so many weight lifters and other drink raw eggs, and nothing has ever happened. Never understood why now it's a big deal🤔

That looks lovely and delicious! I have added chocalate syrup, hot cocoa, and pudding to boxed cake mixes for years. It really does amp up the chocalate flavor and pudding (boxed or instant in the refrigerated section) always makes your cake so much more moist! Great Recipe! Thanks for sharing! Im going to try this one for our annual church bake auction that raises hundreds for the youth!

Ecch! please, please don’t use that FROSTING! it’s laden with chemicals! the taste is a carnival of poison, vaguely resembling a good,rich NON CHEMICAL chocolate frosting from the DIM PAST FROM my LEAVE IT TO BEAVER 1960s childhood!

Im definitely making this cake! Looks great! I do recommend finely crumbling up the extra cake and dry it out in the oven. Then id use it to fancy the cake up.

Raw egg is not an issue, it’s actually a misnomer. It’s the raw flour that make people sick. Professional bakers will tell you this. Great recipe thank you!

Next time put one of those cupcakes on top and then the numbers on that, then your numbers won't be too low on the top of the cake. Thanks for the hack, I use milk instead of water and def butter instead of oil, I'll try the coffee and cocoa, but prefer homemade frosting :) Canned frosting is horrible no mater what you do to it! LOL

Betty Crocker has been the one pulling shrinkflation on us. Duncan Hines and Pillsbury are still providing 15.2oz mixes.

I proudly eat batter and dough (and drink eggnog) with raw eggs. Haven't gotten sick yet. You're in more danger from not washing your hands.
