my family all pitched in so that I could get this looper for Christmas this year! It's going to replace my beginner looper which was a lekato loopstation and had a nasty glitch that made it distort really loudly if the input was overloaded. I'm hoping this Sheeran one solves all those issues and I'm excited to try adding vocals and other percussion sounds into the mix now too!

Well, there are three easy to use Bass Presets in Ed’s Rack. You load “Ed’s Rack” as an effect onto a track. Then you scroll down in the preset list, til you find “Dirty Bass” and the other two and touch to load one. From there you can adjust them to your liking :) Hope the helps :) Best Regards Avellion

Thanks so much, saved me reading the manual! I must say it's very easy to use however but you really helped in a few areas for me. Love the purchase there is so much you can use it for. Even putting backing tracks on it for love performances and using it as simple mixer even, I hate using DAWs to actually record with, this is great as it saves all your individual takes and then you can transfer to the DAW later to arrange and mix. Well worth the money.

Great video - thanks! A simple question - in Song Mode, when you switch tracks using the FS6 does the track reset to the start of the track? In other words, if you are doing Verse-Chorus-Verse etc does it always reset to the start of the verse and start of the chorus?

Thank you 🙏 As far as I remember it resets to start once you press play. Let’s say Track A is selected and the Vers is currently running, now you press FS6 pedal assigned to Track switch then track B gets selected but Track A keeps playing for now. Once you press play, Track B (e. g. Chorus) starts playing from the Start and track A gets muted. I hope that answers your question, best regards 🤙

I appreciate the in depth look at this looper, not a lot of people are sharing this. A lot of complaints about the workflow, what are your thoughts on that?

Well, what I like about this looper are the quality pedals, the nice and easy to use touch display and the good sound quality coming out of it. Certainly there are some things about the workflow that could be smoother (e. g. Activating / deactivating FX / all start function, etc.). I hope they’ll add more customization options with future software updates …

@@avellionmusic Thanks for the quick response man. I use headrush looperboard for 3 gigs per week, but after 2 years it's slowly dying and I might switch to looper x, just need to solve a few of the common issues people have. Mainly Start Stop All.

@@brensocial Well, the stop button stops all tracks - so stop all is not a problem. And for start all you have to unmute all the tracks u want to be playing once you press “play” again. (That might mean pressing multiple track pedals - it works but takes some getting used to) => you can see that in my cover of tainted love by soft cell

Nice vid! Question. Just upgraded to this. This is how I was looping on my RC 300: Track 1: Beatbox Track 2: Main Rhythm Guitar Track 3: Bassline For the verse of a song, just the rhythm track would play. Before the chorus drops, I would press all stop.. then all start to bring the chorus in with all tracks playing for that big sounding effect. I was trying to do this on the Looper X but if the rhythm guitar track is playing alone, and I stop it.... when I bring it back in by pressing start/play, just that track plays. Is there not an all start/stop function? TIA

All Stop yes, all start not that I know of. The way you can do it though (and the way Ed does it) is when u have stopped all tracks quickly unmuting all tracks that u want to play in the Chorus / when u press play again. You do that by pressing the mode pedal and pressing the track pedals of tracks u want to be playing - once all have the green light on u press play. Takes some getting used to, but works. :)

That’s so cool, stay on it 💪 Well, you could. But for the best quality and flexibility while mixing I wouldn’t recommend it. And you still need to record at least the lead vocals separately. I might make a tutorial on how to record into a DAW using the Sheeran Looper X at some point ;)

that's the main issue with this pedal there no start and stop for each track the way ed uses it we makes one beat loops so that it doesn't matter if he has stops because when he pauses the track and then resets the the song all the loops a one bar loops so it make it reset easy!!! but if the loop is longer and you can't stop individual tracks that's a problem that boss has the answer to with individual stop on each track!!!

Der Unterschied zwischen Undo und Peel ist das Undo nur den letzten Vorgang Rückgängig macht, während Peel Layer für Layer vom Letzten bis zum Ersten löscht. Selbst wenn z.B. auf Track 4 gerade etwas aufgenommen wurde, kann ich zu Tack 2 gehen und obersten Layer mit Peel entfernen und dann den nächsten und so weiter. Und wieder vielen Dank für dein Video, die Effekte wären echt noch spannend. Es gibt bis jetzt kaum Videos darüber, diese hier sollten eigentlich echt gut performen, weiß auch nicht warum YT die nicht so oft vorschlägt.

I haven’t experimented with that, since I am not using drum tracks myself. Have you tried loading the drum track into your loop and then changing the tempo afterwords via the knob as shown in the video?
