Any chance you have tried the XR 190L? I’m guessing it’s similar to the 150 but with a bit more power and fuel injection but struggling to find a comparison video as it’s not sold in as many countries. Thanks

i found that after about 45 min of riding, fatigue sets in down there and it's quite uncomfortable. i even upgraded the seats and that helped a little bit but not that much. it's just not that comfortable so i've been considering trading up to a gold wing for maximum comfort :)
@Bykersam2 күн бұрын
I upgraded to a shad gel seat and would stand on pegs occasionally to get circulation going, but I found it ok, all motorcycles will tire you when you do these distances but the journey must go on. Best of luck with a gold wing, that's a lot of bike 👍👍👍

Hi great review sorry a bit late coming to the video. But I do hope you still have the bike . Done tours of Ireland & a couple European . 100% brilliant on fuel yes just changed the front screen & add some hand guards to keep your hands out of the wind . Heated graps oxford pro just the best I have ever had easy on easy off all on the grip . & thing that add a thunder box next the battery wire in your Accessories then then only the two wires to the battery easy. Yes one thing the forks but some Progressive springs should sort that out . & if you got enough money left up Grade the rear shock if you feel Necessary . One other thing to watch is the swing arm it can tend to rust but if just kept clean or cf50 or a coat of thin oil will stay good as new for longer . Brilliant bike super Reliability & miles of smiles because your not in a race the Pleasure is all yours . :) Reliability

I own this bike, and you're right. Everything you said is spot on. Japanese bikes have better quality, it is heavy and the weight is high. But, the quality isn't bad, the price is great, and most importantly the bike is fun to ride. And like you said, it's not going to compete on rough terrain with some adventure bikes, but on easier dirt or gravel roads it does really well.

@@Bykersam I’d seriously consider it if I wasn’t so satisfied with my Honda NT650GT Hawk / Bros. It has a lot less horses on board but only weighs 181 kg when fully tanked up, which is 8 kg less then a dry Shiver, or the Suzuki SV 650 for that matter. It’s so flickable and has just enough power to really have fun without loosing your license. Only one true weakness. The tank only contains 10 l. So I put one from a Revere on it which can hold 19 l. So that adds about 10 kg when topped up but it still remains as lightfooted as ever. Cheers!

Excellent points Mate, I really do get the point of a budget bike in these times, the biggest issue for me would be the weight. These cheaper bikes really do have a place in the bike market. To be honest I would be concerned about the reliability. Would be interesting to see if people have had reliability issues.
@Bykersam2 ай бұрын

@onenoodlesАй бұрын
I'v had god knows how many bikes over 44+ years and its as reliable as any, this is my second. Its all about servicing and maintenance with any bike really and if you disregard that then bikes will let you down. I would suggest you watch the Italian chap on KZbin who took his 75,000 miles across many countries and it stood up to it all and got him home.
