Big fan of BG products, used a lot of them over the years in the UK. What people have to realise, sometimes this works, sometimes it is tried too late, no guarantees. In the UK a lot of the BG treatments come with a full money back if not satisfied, ie EPR, MOA, 44k etc through dealers to help it become part of the service process. Never used it myself, I always work on my own cars servicing and repairs to ensure they are done right.

Instead of letting it idle, can vehicle be driven for 30? minutes with EPR in oil and before changing it?
@pelrod155510 ай бұрын
I read somewhere that the ingredients are only active for like 40 minutes so you would lose your operating window to get the old oil out.
@ak_sprite5 ай бұрын
I think there’s a reason why BG wants it to idle at 1200, if you go too much above that, the oil mixed with the epr probably wont protect the engine much.
@strichards5337Ай бұрын
@@ak_spritethe EPR product doesn’t work like that. The EPR is a cleanser, designed to resolve and clean buildup, fouling and oil sludge. You want that stuff inside your engine with your OLD oil just long enough to be effective, but not destructive. So … 10-12 mins @ 1200rpm is sufficient to fully circulate the product for effectiveness. The MOA product is the one you add to NEW oil and leave in. Hope this helps.

At the same time, my wife has a 2018 Murano that has only been driven on the highway and has 90,000 mi on it. We bought it certified pre-owned about 3 years ago, had 10 oil changes done since then and as soon as I saw white smoke coming out the tailpipe I took it in for service. We pay 500 bucks to have them take apart the engine just to tell us that Nissan says we need a new engine and are refusing the warranty claim . They offered to replace the engine for us for $9,000. I've had 10 cars in my lifetime and this was the first Nissan that we bought and this was the first time I've ever had an issue with an engine failure like this. SMH
