@GracieTalksAboutThings6 сағат бұрын
SAME. I really want to keep doing them, it takes about 6 months for each long form book recap, so if this is something that does well enough, I’d LOVE to keep going, but in the meantime, Cari Can Read did a full breakdown of all 6 books I believe! If you want to relive everything in full! I started these videos with the intention of doing all 6 TMI books and then the Infernal Devices, and city of glass was going to be my magnum opus

Such a wonderful movie that make you think and feel for the characters, though the ending made me sob like a baby. My dad caught it on streaming years after I found it on Netflix. Oddly a good father-daughter movie.

I’m so used to watching movies with a million questions “how would they do that, how does that work” my brain just is too loud, so it’s rare for me to watch something and get sucked in and really be invested in the characters, and this movie had me SO INVESTED. It is a wonderful father - daughter movie. I’m so thankful they made this film.

Sweet another fun video. Happy to see another new episode ( new channel so few episodes to watch). Since we are ranking zombies an episode on apocalypse movie called "Autumn" 2009 would be cool it stars Dexter Fletcher and it also has David Carradine. Based on the original story Written by David Moody. The zombies are so familiar yet different.

Unsure if you know about it, there's an animated movie called Seoul Station or something like that showing another perspective on this outbreak day. It started spreading between homeless people first, and it's a bit of a commentary on classism, since the spread was ignored because "homeless people are worthless anyway" so nobody wanted to help the sick or investigate the issue until it was too late.

I was 11 years old when I saw this movie in theaters with my father and pregnant sister. My dad had to take my sister home pretty early into it because she got sick from the handheld movement, so 11 year old me was left alone in this dark theater and it is one of my favorite cinema experiences and this is one of my favorite movies of all time. I still watch it pretty often, maybe once a month. No other found footage movie has done it like this since.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think Hosts and Souls are synonymous. Hosts are the humans but they’re not referred to that a lot. I couldn’t find the answer online but the fandom site only mentioned host when mentioning the “host bodies” as in the people. The titular Host is Melanie. It’s been a bit since I’ve read it but I only ever remember souls being referred to as souls. It felt wrong every time you referred to them as hosts 😂

Only exposure to a Walker's saliva actives the Wildfire virus. Wildfire invades the brain like meningitis. The adrenal glands hemorrhage, the brain goes into shutdown, then the major organs, then death, then the brainstem reactivates. Walker blood being exposed to the eyes or an open wound can definitely cause a serious, potentially fatal infection, but not Wildfire. The blood and guts can cause treatable infection caused by the bacteria that is present in the corpse rather than the Wildfire virus itself. If Walker nastiness gets into the water supply, it's not gonna activate the Wildfire virus like the bites do. It'll give you cholera or some other kind of bacterial stomach infection which can kill you, thus activating the Wildfire virus that everybody is already infected with. Same with a contaminated weapon such as a knife with Walker blood on it. It will cause septic if it's not treated fairly quickly, but it doesn't active Wildfire.
@GracieTalksAboutThings9 күн бұрын
This is really well put!! I did so much research after getting comments, and I think this is exactly it, I didn’t realize the walker bite activates the wildfire virus, I was just thinking everyone had the wildfire virus already; thank you!

In the ending (of the novel), Wanda's new body is described like this, and I quote directly: "Was this my hand, this tiny thing? It was a child's hand, except for the long pink-and-white nails, filed into perfect, smooth curves. The skin was fair, with a strange silvery cast to it and, entirely incongruous, a scattering of golden freckles....The face in the mirror was roundish, too, not quite oval. Small. The skin on the face had the same silver undertone- silver like moonlight- as the hand did, with another handful of the golden freckles across the bridge of the nose. Wide gray eyes, the silver of the soul shimmering faintly behind the soft color, framed by tangled golden lashes. Pale pink lips, full and almost round, like a baby's. Small, even white teeth behind them. A dimple in the chin. And everywhere, everywhere, golden, waving hair that stood away from my face in a bright halo.... I'd never seen a more defenseless creature than this half-child with her moonlight face and sunlight hair....So I lied, giving myself an extra year. 'I'll be eighteen.'... This body looked much younger than her true age, hovering on the edge of seventeen." That's right, folks. Wanda is a 16 yo who looks like a baby child. Lovely. Oh, and Jamie describes their kidnapping of this 16yo body as "We picked her out together" 😐
