Toch vond ik de afleveringen met Robert ten Brink vaak nog een stukje spannender en leuker maar François was er als bedenker van Lingo duidelijk ook erg bedreven in. Afleveringen na François gingen alleen maar bergafwaarts. Nu is er niks meer van over.

Ralph Andrews bedacht Lingo en in de VS flopte het. Harry de Winter kocht de rechten en haalde het spel naar NL.

Wat is de context van het finale spel? Ging je met nul gulden naar huis als je Lingo had?

In die tijd van Lingo moest je in de finale er inderdaad voor zorgen dat je geen Lingo maakte. Je besliste dus zelf wanneer je er mee stopt en hoeveel risico je wil nemen. Hoe minder pogingen om een woord te raden hoe minder ballen je moest pakken en dus hoe groter de kans dat je geen Lingo maakt. In de ballenbak van de finale zitten alle 35 oneven ballen van 1 tot en met 69 en die kun je dus allemaal trekken. Als je Lingo maakte in de finale had je idd 0 gulden, maar je mocht dan wel nog een tweede keer terugkeren de volgende aflevering om het nog eens te proberen (en nog een derde keer moest je de tweede keer weer de finale halen en ook verliezen) om er zo voor te zorgen dat je ook niet te 'op safe' wilde spelen

I spent my entire teenage years playing this, i didnt have a computer before that so this was one of my first games and its dear to my heart. So sad EA only cares about profits and shut the servers

9:34 this is what those who only watch the movies don't know.When Minas Tirith was under siege an equally epic siege was also underway in Dale and Erebor by Easterlings.and Orcs from Dol Guldur in Lorien and Mirkwood.that is why no help could be sent south.

I think doing this for a story was a much better decision than the first game. The first game really had to force scenario's that didn't make sense to have a strategy game follow the plot of an adventure story.

Yeah because a lot of these events seem to be original or based on an obscure reference during the War of the Ring.

Shadow of Mordor and shadow of war were actually very fun games. They don’t hold a candle to games like this, as these were a staple and some of the greatest games ever to be made. Still, SoW and SoM were actually very enjoyable once you got into it.

That shot at 1:03 with the Fellowship on the move always made me laugh; it's basically Legolas outrunning everyone like he's making off with something and they're all like: "Legolas, get back here!!"

Mine as well. Hell, I remember getting this game around March 2006, it took me three years, but I beat the Good Campaign in late April 2009, and it was the happiest moment of my life

Driver Fabio Konrad (BRA), on pole-position, is so focused on being ready for the start that he totally misses the start signal! He barely manages to keep 2nd place going into turn 1, but is back to leading the race by the time the 1st lap is completed.
