I've been struggling with this issue for a while, seeing as I used to identify as a lesbian but then got a ftm trans boyfriend, and I don't know what to identify as instead, because I don't consider myself pansexual cause I'm just not attracted to specimens with penises (luckily for me my bf doesn't want bottom surgery), but it confuses me a lot cause I feel like a lesbian but I indeed don't want to undermine his gender identity...

Thanks for making this video. Iv always know I was trans but never quite fit... I knew I was masculine but also can be feminine. Took me a while to figure myself out(Im transqueer) and feels like a big weight is off my shoulders!

Great advise, my ex girlfriend did something similar expect she was more interested in my physical body. It made me feel uncomfortable and I ended the relationship.

+Identifyandbeyond It's fine that you wouldn't date a lesbian. You don't have an obligation to date anyone. If you define lesbian in terms of gender identity (i.e. female-identified person being attracted only to others with a similar identity), then lesbians can't be attracted to trans men (or non-binary people, or genderqueer people, or people who just haven't bothered labeling themselves and say they don't have any identity one way or the other). But if you define it in terms of sex only or both sex and gender (e.g. bio-female attracted to the same) -- as I believe people should --, then a lesbian may still be able to be attracted to a trans man due to the shared sex.

Did you need a letter from as therapist because I am not ftm.? how much was your surgery with total cost? How come you don't have any facial hair if you are on T . Is that even possible . Hey B . I'm Julia . I am from Romania. I feel a lot like you do . Currently I go by female pronouns but being called "he" doesn't bother me at all. I find it really hard and awkward to associate myself or be associated with the idea of being a woman . I don't like words like "Miss, Madam , Young lady and such"I feel confortable only wearing male clothes and I often feel like I am one of the guys but I don't want to be entirely male. I have bad chest dysphoria and I want top surgery. Who did you have surgery with? How much was it? Did he require a letter from a therapist ? Un fortunately there aren't any gender therapists in my country. Does he operate on females and GQ people or just ftm?. How long do i havew to stay in hospital after surgery? Kids used to call me 'm/f' as in not sure if I was male or female, in 7th grade when I still had long hair. It's crazy how kids can either be the most open in the world, or the cruelest if they've been taught to behave a certain way.
