This tool seems like it way over-promises on functionality and speed. From the reviews I've read, it doesn't seem to be accurate enough to be a $100 piece of software.

The updated version (2023) is: Go to Company / People. There are some info graphics about where they live, but flip to end and there is "How you are connected" chart - click on 2nd and it shows everyone in the company People list that has a 2nd connection to you. Ps Thanks Andrew for this - it pointed me in the correct direction 👍

I actually liked the app. However lazy apply will NOT let you upgrade. I bought the app and after 3 days I wanted to upgrade. I received an email stating I had to buy the app again with for a different version. Why would you use an application that doesn't allow you to upgrade as the need arises. I really like the app but they need to allow people to upgrade, after all we are offering them more money. As it stands I will not upgrade, because I will not waste my investment that I made.

I would highly recommend you do not promote this. I just received a ban from LinkedIn for using this automated app after watching your video. Per their TOS, you cannot use bots. By promoting this video, you are letting people go purchase this and then have their account get banned.

Does lazy apply do a “word search” match with the job description? Without that, the ATS (application tracking system) will just trash your online application.
@PDXBeach2 жыл бұрын
You have the chance to review the results and see if they meet your requirements. It isn't an exact science. And you key performance indicator should be interviews. I find this an easier way to do the administration for roles where I don't have any networking contacts to leverage first.

Thank you for your response. Can I attribute getting a job to LazyApply? No. But I can attest that the application is not the only method to be focusing on.
@DavidHo104 Жыл бұрын
@@PDXBeach I'm surprised that from the quantity of applications submitted by LazyApply, that there's no attribution towards getting a job. Why do you believe that to be the case? Also, being a Chrome Extension, are you concerned about security over your personal information (home address, phone number, etc).

Hello Andrew, thanks for taking time to make this video, it is definitely helpful. Quick Question , I know LinkedIn frowns at having Apps crawl the platform and I know few people whose account got closed down due to the named reason. Any idea if LinkedIn will have a problem with Lazy apply? Are you going to be making more videos on Lazy Apply?
@PDXBeach2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the ask Dami. There are many automation tools for LinkedIn. Although LinkedIn does a great job of stopping many of them to protect the TOS, the tools are still there. As long as they have an API that allows for integrations to things like Salesforce and ATS systems, I suspect that these automation tools will persist. Most of the products that are violating TOS are sales tools that automate messaging and connect requests. I can't think of a reason why LinkedIn would be against Lazy Apply as it supports LinkedIn's core talent services models for talent acquisition (a big cash cow for LinkedIn). That said, if we read the TOS literally, ANY automation tool (not authorized by LinkedIn) is a violation.

Is it possible to get a job in Europe while living in West Africa on LinkedIn?
@PDXBeach2 жыл бұрын
Yes! LinkedIn is a global platform for the most part. The sticky part is getting visa sponsorship or finding a company willing to hire a non-EU resident remotely. Perhaps find EU companies that are also located in W. Africa?

Hey this is great! One question, how will the website know my linkedin login details to be able to apply on my behalf? In your onboarding it did not seem like it asked for your login details so how will it know?
@PDXBeach2 жыл бұрын
Lazyapply requires you to be logged into whichever application you are using to submit your resume. In your case, having a LinkedIn window open and logged in. You also need to upload your resume to linkedin and Lazyapply walks you through that process during onboarding.

Very useful tips. Honestly, I have got a distracting background. To my mind, it could be managed to steer clear of distractions through a Whatsapp interview on the mobile phone in case a client is from a reverse time zone. Am I correct? Secondly, it is how does 'recorded' voice chat works for Skype? I mean, to avoid a 'live' voice chat due to a time-zone gap. Is it foolproof? Does it work on Skype? Awaiting feedback.🤔
@PDXBeach2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Manaj. Eliminating the distracting background will allow the other party to focus on your communications. I have yet to hear of interviews using Whatsapp, but will do some research as it may be a more regularly used globally, not just in US. It's why many companies don't do Facetime interviews - not everyone has it loaded on their phone creating friction to saying yes to an interview. Recorded video interviews are unlikely to be done through Skype. One tool I'm familiar with is Hirevue. As far as time zone gaps, either the interviewer or interviewee will need to be awake at a time they aren't normally. I've done interviews at 4am and 8pm to accomodate this reality. Thanks for watching!

Many employees have shown they can work effectively remotely, so it's cat's out the bag.
@PDXBeach2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. Companies may or may not respond in alignment with our needs. It's not clear that a 100% remote company is as effective as a company that is in office or flexible in its approach. For me and many others, there's no substitute for in-person interaction (and I'm an introvert).
@manajbanerjee86152 жыл бұрын
Beneficial tutorial. Thanks! But I have got two questions: Can a client find my articles/blogs through my LinkedIn profile URL? I don't have a paid version of LinkedIn. Secondly, can I send my posted articles on LinkedIn by uploading them in Google Docs from my saved files and converting them into PDFs to a client?
@PDXBeach2 жыл бұрын
Clients can find your content through the links you share in your contact information, in your featured section, and/or in each role in experience. You don't need a paid version of LinkedIn to have a good profile. LinkedIn does allow a file to be uploaded or a link to be shared. There's nothing that would stop you from using Google Docs, except that the Doc is something that someone can actually open. To save time, you may want to write articles on LinkedIn instead of just posting things if you have long-form content. The articles can be seen on or off of LinkedIn, even if you don't have a login/password for the platform.

how to build on soft skilss
@PDXBeach2 жыл бұрын
As with building any skill, start with reading, listening to podcasts, and perhaps taking online courses (from LinkedIn learning, Coursera, Udemy, Skillshare, etc). I'd also consider getting a mentor, or someone you believe is a little ahead of you in their use of soft skills. If you want to be good at anything, you need to make it a study (Jim Rohn).

Andrew, thank you for the video's. A lot of questions I had about this software you were able to answer in your video's and I appreciate that. I am looking forward to your 5th video of this series to see what some more of your thought's are after this software applied for these jobs for you. I did come up with at least 1 question. 1. Did you notice if this software applied for the same job twice on LinkedIn?
@PDXBeach2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, Caleb. It's always flattering when people recognize you! In terms of the jobs being duplicated, it's a feature of the system (LinkedIn/Indeed) to allow remote roles to be published in many different geographies. Although the role is the same, it's published more than once in unique geographies. The Lazyapply system doesn't identify these roles as the same. In some cases, organizations may be hiring separate jobs in those geos or have more than one job open. I remain under the assumption that if there's a fit, then location/remote can be worked out.
@CableMcGlothin2 жыл бұрын
@@PDXBeach Thank you for providing clarification. I had a feeling that was the case, but I wanted to double check with someone who had first hand experience with the software. Again, thank you for the video and keep them coming!

Very insightful tutorial. Thanks. I have got a question. If I only want to show my writing portfolio to client's as a freelance writer and I have no "projects" but simply want to showcase my writing samples, what would the procedure be to it? Like in your case, there is a "project" option by default but hardly any such thing as "portfolio" (that I noticed). So, in such cases what is the process to do it? Love to hear from you! 👏
@PDXBeach2 жыл бұрын
currently you can showcase that as a link to a website (like behance, or a google drive document). this would be accessible in your contact information (you can add 3 websites), in the featured section, and in the role under experience you may have created for your freelance work.

@PDXBeach3 жыл бұрын
It's an optional field on LinkedIn. I've seen people put links to commercially available products they helped produce, press releases for mergers/acquisitions, or even a link to a dropbox/google docs file that has the after action review/debrief of the project (including requirements, deliverables, etc).
