It’s usually on Sunday, Tuesday, And Thursday nights and departs Cedar Hill Yard in New Haven at 8:40 PM. This may fully not be accurate but I’ve gotten a schedule of it from some people.

I’m surprised something like that hasn’t happened yet, but you are right it would be one hell of a catch considering they rarely do full CDOT Mini Bombs anymore.

Let alone a full CDOT set. But I think they’re more likely able to get away with a Mini CDOT set then a full CDOT set since people are stupid these days and don’t know how to read and just by color automatically they’ll think it’s a NH line train despite the fact they’re signs that specifically say what line and where the train is going. Plus knowing from experience I couldn’t tell you how many times that idiots have ask crews that I know personally and myself where the train is going. Then they say but it’s red or there’s Connecticut symbols etc etc. So unfortunately as I hate to say it a full CDOT set would cause major confusion since people are idiots and don’t know how to read.

@@kirkzevola5004 I am still waiting for the day where one Metro-North owned Bombardier Shoreliner car doesn't ruin the Shoreline East look of things. Merritt 7 and Waterbury have entrance signs to parking lot of CTrail, but never run these literal trains. Only BL20GHM in Coke Zero (and ya barely see dat) makes the CTrail labeled stops realistic. 6698/99 does it better being GP40-3H's, but when it comes to foaming a full Shoreline East set, considering back in the days car numbers were 1690s, and not 6200s, always one blue Metro-North car ruins it. They may not be mafersas, but they would bring back the old days.

6698 and 6699 took a few sets this morning and were running both on the Branch Line at the same time. 6699 was sent back to Stamford for refuel but never came back.

That is an Australian Horn in which it is called a K5UL-AU-LS. But yeah I guess it kinda reminds me of that too.

Yeah well except them having a GP40-3H and Mafersa Cars on the Waterbury Branch just like how they used to.

Unfortunately it was quite the opposite experience for me. I mean you’re not wrong about it being a great spot, usually trains blow by there at 55-60 MPH, but unfortunately some random called the police on me because they thought I was “trespassing” but yknow it is what it is. Still a great spot and I totally agree with you!

@@AlexCTRailandAviation That's also happened to me before as well, Seeley rd on the Danbury Branch. Again, usually they fly through there but it went through no more than 20mph because someone reported it. People just gotta mind their own business sometimes...

You would be correct that is a K3LA, and all BL20GH’s or BL20GHM’s that Metro North uses have them.

It’s funny because it’s only seen on every station but Waterbury. I like to see its arrival there, mainly because there never is, but also because they park further up in a different style, and especially since you can get pictures of it far far up where the branch ends/clock tower, kinda like RR Picture Archives. It’s so close to Pan Am’s part of the branch it’s cool to see

However I assume the Waterbury Shuttle, when BL20GH’s get refueled, is they only use the last three cars and shut off the other five, because like I stated in my other video, if all were accessible with this shuttle, you’d have to walk all the way back to the main platform, and God forbid they depart by then

Yeah Originally I was going to catch 6699 earlier today on 6930, and I thought it was going back up the Branch line today until I was given the news that 6699 was going to refuel at Stamford Yard and won’t be back up until sometime during the week. They swapped out a set and it was unexpected for it to be a Maxi Set, So I just went out for that instead. Very unexpected. 😂
