I saw Alimony on russian TV in the beginning of the 90s. I then forgot the melody, but had that impression of the sound and drive in my head. And I knew the name of the song. 25 years later I found it here on KZbin. Thank you guys for this music!

I was lucky to be living in Canberra when the album was released and bought it promptly. I love dthe jangle pop of that time - Hummingbirds, Falling Joys, Clouds. Я все еще плохо говорю по-русски

This can’t be the band’s official channel with 39 subscribers, surely? I’m not a muso but I think their harmonies, musicianship and plainly genius songwriting are perfection. Certainly deserving of more than 39 subs.

There was ~nobody there when I saw them 30 years ago. In recent times Lo Moon had an empty room, but in LM's case it was opposite the electronic festival. Anyway, I'm not sure that The Hummingbirds ever got much if any recognition in the USA. Maybe it is never too late to get the word out, but Simon Carter Holmes RIP. I'm pleasantly surprised to find anything on KZbin this go 'round. Best wishes.

So many fun times seeing these guys play at several pubs around Sydney back in the day. They always put on an amazing show and I have the best memories of these times. Such a talented bunch of people. It saddens me that Simon is gone. Such a loss for us fans and a huge loss for his family and friends.

Thank You for the video showcasing the talent of the wonderful Simon Holmes and Hummingbirds. As one brilliant track ends there is another one following on...that really tells the story of the whole of The Hummingbirds discography. Wonderful talented band that brought so much joy and pleasure to fans like me through their gorgeous music. A special something that will live on forever.
