I used 1/2 inch EMT for a smaller profile pole and a 1/2 to 3/4 EMT set screw adaptor on the top to mount the decoy into.

The vise might have worked better than the hammer.

I heated the end of a 5/8” PVC pipe with a heat gun and formed the square mount to the pipe. Lighter than conduit.

You don't need remove the, would be easier to just remove the plug on the inside on the other end with some C-ring pliers. Also easier to reassemble that way. Or ditch the plug on the other end and use the handguard retaining plug that screws on to the end to retain the spring.

I’ve seen a couple videos with the M3000 without the spring inside the magazine tube is their a reason for that wouldn’t it not function properly without it if you could make a video about this that would be awesome of you.

Awesome video buddy!!! Just ran across your videos and thought I’d watch it!!! I’ve definitely been wanting to get into some duck hunting!!! I used to go with my dad years and years ago when I wasn’t old enough yet!! I wasn’t even big enough to shoot a shot gun since I was litterly a pretty small guy!! Lol!! When are family started to build are house back in 1989 my dad quit duck hunting because we was building are house and he was definitely busy with work also!!! Don’t remember much except for drinking the hot chocolate just to stay nice and warm!!! I’ve actually been looking for someone that would let me go out with them since I don’t have any decoys either!!! I do have a 18’ flat bottom boat though just need to try and find another engine for it or someone that no’s how to work on them so that I can get mine fixed!!! I do live in southern Iowa!!!
