Yes, that bike has a brutal sound and we'll not keep the front end down in first gear. If you give it much more than half throttle a challenge to get down this trip. Thank you for the great comment.

I would say a little for sure but the always like to run when changing a pasture or to a new pasture I always leave the run open so they can return to the main stable . Thanks for the comment

The Kawasaki Z’s and Honda CB four cylinder bikes of the 1970’s get all the attention but in many respects the Suzuki’s were the best of the bunch. Probably because they were introduced a bit later and were more like the second generation four cylinder twin cam Hondas. I had a Honda CB650 but I always thought my mates GS550 was actually the better bike.

Hey I am interested in buying this exact bike zx10r 2007 but with stretched swing arms. It has about 13000miles on it and I noticed the engine is a little dirty with oil. Did you experience any sort of oil leaks? can they cheat the mileage? I mean how could a 13000miles make a bike leak oil. It wasn't dripping when I took it for a short quick ride and return it put it on kickstand didn't notice any leaks on floor. but the engine bottom and pan I can see it dirty with sand and oil dark color. Is that a bad sign? he is asking only 4k for it. tires are a bit worn and chain also is long, dirty and touching the swing arm from bottom and above I don't know if it's because the chain is a bit loose or because they stretched it. I really loved its kick in first gear as I didn't manage to put second as I only took it for very quick ride as I didn't bring my helmet or clothes to take it for a highway ride to push it a bit. Compared to my z900 it felt much punchy maybe because my z900 has traction control and this is a raw bike with probably flashed ecu. where as my z900 2022 is stock everything and with traction control set in sport mode.

Some bike owners do little care for the bike if the have not cleaned or wiped that area it could be dirty form the years the chain should not be that loose to rub so that says it was not maintaned very well these bikes can take a lot of revs over and over 4k is a fair price on a bike like this.

@@camarobruce2666 I ended up buying. I just noticed that the right fork is leaking oil. Since i dont have the tools or the garage do you know much to fix the fork leak? Im probably going to removr the fairings and inspect it more. As for the chain. It is not touching when its resting. The chain has eaten a bit the swingarm possibly because of the additional 7inch extension? Chain looks old not lubed i dont know if I want to restore the length considering the amount of torque im worried it would easily power wheelie on me 😅😅

yes it will wheelie in 1st gear a lot with the stock swingarm the forks will be a expensive to repair

Total Performance Cycles 512 914 8686 the are about $200 for a pair. With air shift and a extended arm it gives you leverage and a great position good runs to you

I was in my 20's when this bike came out. I had a friend with one that had flat slides and cams put on it, besides the exhaust and filters. I had and 86 1100 with Vance and Hines filters and exhaust. I couldn't pass him!😅😅. I like that color scheme, nice bike.

It is from MTC Engineering out of Florida they have a website and are great to speak although a bit pricey with the brocks mod is not availabel for the gen 1 I think? good luck thanks Bruce

Beautiful!. I have the same blue bike, which I bought second hand in 1978. I knew nothing about bikes at the time, but my buddies said it was the best. i happened to run across that GS750 in my search, and bought it for $2000. Bought after college to take an epic 4-month tour of the US with those 2 college buddies (riding Triumph Bonneville and Honda CB750). Still have the bike (25k miles) and it runs well - mechanics have marvelled at how smoothly - but it mostly sits. At times I think I need to sell it, but then for sentimental reasons can't seem to do it. I see you're in Sarpy County. I'm in Dixon Co. (and also in Denver).

My oh my that is a pretty bike! I once owned a '78 GS1000c set up the same way, i.e. spoked wheels and a single disc brake on the front. Loved that thing! what a peach!
