Could of sworn the title to this was 'the wandering hippopotamus' 🤔

That would have been too obvious of a title!

The counter is lying! But then 'it's understood that time grows anew!' That line has jinxed it. The counter read 1...then I listened 4 times at which point the number increased then reduced to no views. So...not accurate! Perhaps AI is responding to the repeated lyric. (Not that I believe that...but it was weird watching it counting down.)

Like Gordon Lightfoot and Nick Drake combined. What a talent. "when waste not want not fails to bring someone closer to life." Great line.

Thank you very much! That's one of my favourite lines too.

Good job Dan...you've managed to capture the light and shade of your voice in this recording. I've always liked the accompaniment...and now it's balanced. There's an attractive determined and thoughtful melancholy in the mood. Very easy to visualise it being played in some quiet slightly windswept spot gazing out over the canals. Evocative. PS...The rolling effect of the music suggests journeying. Well done 🎉

I was very focused on balancing the timbre of the vocals and guitar in these recordings. I'm glad it's come off well 😊 And that the feeling of the song still resonates through. Thanks!

It's as though someone brought a bard from the late 19th century, stuck him front of a microphone and told him to play all he knows. Great song.

Great original. You can really here how you've soaked up the styles and voicings of the old folk traditionals and have been used as the basis for your own songs.

I could listen to this guy sing traditional folk songs from 'days of olde' for hours. A whole night even. I couldn't imagine a more fitting night for a folkie like myself than reveling in the old folk style for an entire evening.

It's as if Johnny Cash's voice, Gordon Lightfoot's songwriting and Nick Drake's guitar playing ability merged and made this wonderful sound my ears are now blessed with hearing.

I absolutely love your music. It always makes me really excited when I see a new upload! A lot of people call a lot of artists "underrated" when they're fairly popular, but you are definitely an actual underrated artist. Everything you release always sounds so beautiful!
