@@diederikklumper1180You can keep the irony about my title "on the simulator" but I won't even waste time arguing and telling you who I am. With all due respect to the commander and having established that there had been an engine failure that had left the ship without propulsion, HOWEVER an approach to the coast had been started which in my opinion should NOT have been attempted. In such conditions THE COAST IS THE DANGER, THE OPEN SEA IS THE HOPE OF SALVATION. He could have stayed out to sea and let go of the anchors, but I say this with hindsight. However, respect and honor for this captain.

Both anchors gone, then rudder. After that, even if they got the main engine running, it was too late. Poor buggers!

Total main engine failure? Looks like the anchors have dragged too, once upon the rocks her fate is sealed when the back is broken. The fury of the sea is never to be underestimated.

En Francia más precisamente en Anglet en la costa suroeste, no hubo heridos solo el primer helicóptero no pudo acercarse por el viento, el segundo mucho más grande vino de una base militar ubicada a unos pocos kilómetros hizo el trabajo (para que conste, a él también le molestó un dron profesional filmando)... la historia terminó en los tribunales pero todo terminó bien para todos. De memoria, los pilotos del helicóptero y del dron tenían la misma edad: 24/25 años.

rien a etait fait on a laiser se bateau sechouer sans rien faire ces une honte le port de bayonne et les affaire maritime il peuve aller se coucher ,memes quand les gitants du coté de l'adour quand il ravage les coins et casse tout de l"autre coté du pont rouge a droite mems chaque année la mairie de bayonne et affaire maritime font rien ha peu peur des gitant hein
