Father and son? Lovely to see (or hear)! Please do a track day if you haven’t yet done one there it’s amazing. I do several a year at oulton and whilst it’s not exactly the most demanding track it’s far from boring in my opinion. The compression before the main straight is a really nice feeling at higher speeds and I love the banked corner too. Have you thought about building a track day tool with your son? Even a cheap little fiesta or clio buy it Cat N from copart for about £250 and just build it how you want it, doesn’t have to be a project into the thousands. I’d be happy to help if you had any questions (one of my businesses is buying repairing and selling categorised cars).

Thanks so much for this video. I marched in 1975 and 1976 with Guardsmen from the suburbs of Chicago. We made DCI finals for the first time in 1976. Sadly, Guardsmen folded many years ago. I kind of adopted Phantom Regiment from Rockford Illinois as my favorite, but I love all corps and all who do this difficult activity! 🎉😊❤

The British coverage was in my opinion very poor. The cameras do not focus Karma on what was being performed on the field. They missed so many highlights of each performance . It seems they know very little about what, Drum Corps mama was all about in the United States just my opinion former member of the Long Island sun rises 1964 through 1968. Pipe dream but man its sad to see it has fallen so far :( Especially since it is the closest park to me, If it wasn't for flamingo land there would be nothing worth in the north east UK. (not counting Alton Towers as north east)

Seems like they are completely running it into the ground. A family orientated theme park? How's that going to work out when the kids are in school during the week? Absolute bloody idiots. I think they are planning on running it into the ground so they can build houses on the land. Although apparently the bloke who used to run the park still owns the actual land. Who knows but this is a crying shame as this was one of the best theme parks - The Ultimate was one of my favourite coasters!

Such a shame what is happening there. I really wanted to go on the Ultimate but alas that ride has been demolished now since this video was taken. There is no reason for me to visit this place now.. Terrible management and soon will close for good. A good park gets repeat custom, I doubt very much people would return to this lame effort

I have a theory that it’s being run down on purpose. It’s a brown field site and as such could easily get the planning for housing development. Given the cost of land round here (I live 5 miles away) they would make an absolute fortune!

It's just a picnicking place by the looks of it, cant be called a theme park at all . I give it 2 years max , you cant remove it's most popular rides and expect people to return. How much is entry now .

We had to take tiny steps as the floor area was about half the size of a normal arena: 0:00 Superman 0:56 Jesus Christ Superstar 1:42 Swinging Safari 3:12 Flying Start (Drum tune) 3:40 Send In The Clowns (slow march into a quick march at 4:07) 5:02 Drummers Call (shortened version) 5:50 Exodus 7:45 Magnificent Seven This was a polished routine that built on the previous couple of years selections. What is worthy of note is that the band only started out in 1974 and all of this was achieved in 6 years. Amazing what kids could achieve before the internet arrived.......

I've been a fan of drum corps in the US since the mid 70s and never realized this was a thing in the UK. Very impressive for the time period, especially the Green Lancers guard. Does it continue now?
