I just turned 54 and awfully late to investing with barely any portfolio except my 401k. I have a decent amount of cash saved up and with inflation currently soaring AGAIN, I’m getting worried about retirement. How do I best optimize my savings of over $ 200k.

Retirement is now more difficult than it was in the past, it’s all about balancing your risk tolerance with your long-term goals. Maybe consider speaking to an advisor to help in diversifying your portfolio to spread out the risk.

Agreed, I’ve always delegated my excesses to an advisor, since suffering major portfolio loss early 2020 amidst Covid outbreak. I’m now semi-retired and only work 7.5 hours a week with barely 25% short of my $1m retirement goal after subsequent investments to date.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I’ve been managing my portfolio myself, but it’s not working out. Do you have any recommendations for a good investment advisor? I could really use some help.

My CFA, *Joseph Nick Cahill* is a renowned figure in his field. I recommend searching his name online; you’ll find all his credentials and everything you need to work with a reliable professional. With many years of experience, he is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.

I appreciate the implementation of ideas and strategies that result to that sort of progress in the financial markets.

The 2.5% COLA for 2025 provides a modest increase in benefits for Americans receiving Social Security and SSI payments, helping to offset the rising cost of living and inflation. This increase offers essential financial relief for vulnerable populations like retirees.

The thought of retirement makes me cry. My apologies to everyone who have retired and filing social security during this time after putting in all those years of work just to lose everything to a problem you never imagined to happen. It’s so difficult for people who are retired and have no savings to fall back on.
@RyanCoycox6 күн бұрын
It's recommended to save at least 20% of your income in a 401k. You can use online calculators to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income. Saving at least 20% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. By saving this much, you can take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings over time.

I completely agree; I am in my mid 40s, approaching retirement, and have approximately over 2million dollars in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, the Fin-advisor can only be neglected, not rejected. Just do your due diligence to identify a fiduciary one.

This is exactly how i wish to get my finances coordinated ahead of retirement. Can you recommend the financial advisor you used to get ahead?

Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Kathie Daisy Bosco’’ for about three years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.

Working over a period of many years our job becomes a big part of our life. When we retire it's like there's a huge vacancy in our day and now we wonder how we're going to fill in that space when we no longer go to work.

Hi, it's actually really funny that this showed up in my page as I'm currently trying to get into the wealth management and financial analyst/advisory route. I've been kind of at a loss at what concepts to start learning in order to get a good basis on the idea of retirement planning/making money work when you aren't. What would you recommend is a good start for building that strong foundation.

2,500k views n Not 1 comment ? Odd It was very basic but nothing I can’t agree with. Would have been nice if say he added a couple lines abt how the rat govt tries double taxing any who receive inheritance- so say ur parents die and leave you 50k, it’s considered Income for u and even though Ur parents Paid taxes on that money (usually), now you/ur family has to pay taxes on it Again/ hence all who get older and have assets should create Trusts. Dank q
