...Many, many well deserved observations have been made about Mr. Metheny, et al...Have never read one that would require disagreement...All of this generosity distills down to one Dynamic regarding him...Time does not dilute his Music...Time does not scar his Music...Time, if anything, has gently breathed a gorgeous Patina on his Music...What was written forty years ago, sounds as powerful, thought provoking and dreams of the Soul today...The colors of his music have always dazzled me...I see and feel new colors as the years quietly drift...I think that Mr. Metheny has a good Soul...Only a good Soul could not only create this Music...But desire to place it in the Wind & Clouds...And let it travel Hither & Yon...Pax.

곡 느낌은 조금 편안하게 들릴지 모르겠지만 정원영 선생님이 이 노래를 그 날을 노래한다는 걸 뒤 늦게 알았습니다만…. 지금도 이 노래를 들으면 먹먹합니다.

In 1989 I was planning my first holiday in years and chose to visit The Maldives. During the weeks prior to my trip I played tennis once a week after work with a colleague. After our game we would return to her apartment for a drink and a chat and when she asked what music I would take on my trip I confessed that I hadn't thought about. Remember these were the days of Cassette tapes and the Sony Walkman. she loaned me a cassette of 'As Falls" and of the dozen tapes that I packed it was the only one I listened to for the entire holiday.. It was also on that holiday that I met my now wife, 35 years on. I still listen to that album in awe. (Especially September 15th)

My father took his life in November 2019. No note... somehow this song allows me to grieve his death in the reality of how this happened. He was a bitter man who lived a bitter life. My prayer is I can one day see him in Heaven in our perfection... I pray he will be there waiting on me...

Rest in peace to your father. In my case, tears flow suddenly even after many years and time. No sentence will comfort you, but I think it is for your father that you smile and live a happy life every day.

George Winston composed entire albums of similar dreary music for piano, as did Erik Satie long ago with “Once Upon A Time In Paris” I would not recommend such music for folks battling depression. Put on some early Beatles instead…..

This is beautiful. There is a quite sense of loss in this song. As the sky turned gray, it's a reminder that nothing stays the same. The days will inevitably pass away but the melodies will linger on.

c est pour ça que la musique est l art absolu ..et surtout quand c est un duo de ce calibre qui joue ...Lyle était un génie rare j'espère qu il est heureux la où il est car il nous a tant donne ...et j'espère un jour voir pat sur scène
