Calling your penis a 'she' . That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. Your video has helped me. But in a different way . I thought I was trans. I'm not. Thankyou .

Love the song! I am very fond of "Lola," even with its issues, and I think that your parody/response makes for a wonderfully apt pairing! I feel like "Ray" sort of... helps to put "Lola" into historical context, and reinforce that however delightful "Lola" is, times have changed and the protagonist's attitude isn't something that should keep getting all this cultural play, with the same "gosh, this is just so surprising and confusing!" trope pervading pop culture narratives of cis people (especially cis men) interacting with trans people (especially trans women). So I'm appreciating "Ray" as part of a meta-historical narrative as well as the more obvious level of it being fun, referential, clever, positive, and really an incredibly satisfying listen all around. Thank you for sharing your music!

Really cool, I also enjoyed reading about the creation of this song on your website. It's great how you analyze "Lola" from different perspectives, both in your essay and in the lyrics. I think you're good at explaining, I hadn't thought so much about the underlying meanings before.
