great video! I get side imaging/down scan and I use a bouy also (no livescope) dropshot them is easy, but when casting over a brushpile how do you how high you are above the brushpile so you dont get snag? just count down then reel, i'm guessing

I learned everything i know about side imaginng and locating fish, objects, structure, ect... From davis's videos.i started watching about 4 yrs ago and never owned a graph in my life until i bought the Garmin 93 sv uhd. I watched davis's videos over and over and over studying them. And then when i got my unit i took the videos to the lake with me.i now can go to any lake in the state and turn my unit on and with enough time i can locate crappie and most of the time catch them. And it is all free to learn!!! I've came a long way from the days of old. Thanks davis for all the great videos.

Hi … thanks for good videos. I have been looking to buy a new fish finder with a trolling motor integrated , and it’s plenty of parameters to consider 😊 Am fishing in some rivers and lakes Pike and bass. Am having. Terhi 450 boat , am looking to have one unit on the boat and able to stear the motor from driving seat via control. Garmin, Lowrance and Humminbird is for sure the candidates, but if we put the trolling motor + a fish finder in combination, what brand or combinations would you go for? Am quite interesting in the 360 view , as we many times anchor the boat and fishing, am having a older Garmin unit today … side scan is for sure a priority as well. But sure you do t want to have a crappy motor integrated ?

Why does SideVu and Perspective show shadows behind objects and LS Forward Facing Sonar doesn’t? Great video!
@FloppingCrappie
@FloppingCrappie 9 күн бұрын
@danayo8852 LS Forward will show shadows on larger objects near the bottom, typically large trees and birdge/dock pilings, but only when the transducer is pointed at a specific angle and only on the bottom of the screen. The sonar beam for livescope is technically still being stopped (producing a shadow) on fish suspended in the water colum, but unlike sidevu, there isn't anywhere for shadow to appear on the screen. If you were to scan a school of fish that were suspended 10ft down in water colum, but had a background like a concrete sea wall or large bridge piling, I believe you would see the shadow of the school of fish.

@@FloppingCrappieI am beginning to think that my color pallet, black emerald may not show shadows as well as something like amber.

Liked! EXACTLY what I needed. I would use a system for hunting trout in a lake. Trout is around 1-3 lbs on average. I will be on a Kayak going 4 mph and using the Livescope to search as they are constantly on the move, unlike crappie. Looks like the LV34 will definitely give me longer range which is significant. Quick question: Can you confirm that the UHD 93SV version 2 with the higher resolution actually gives as much info as the larger 10 inchers or even 12 inchers? I don't mind a smaller screen but want to see as much info as possible on the screen. Thanks !

I like Thill Bobbers/Slip Bobbers. The spring loaded bobbers wreck havoc on my lines. Why kill fish when they are spawning? This technique depletes the population of fish. It is best to release. For every female you catch/keep you Kill Thousands. Shame Shame.

Don't have any gear recommendations as I'm pretty new to ice fishing. Looking forward to the ice camping videos. I've been looking at Norfin gear, their sizing seems off to me, do they run big on the boots and float suits?
@FloppingCrappie
@FloppingCrappie Ай бұрын
@squirrellydan1277 the boots seem to run true to size. I wear 13, with medium/heavy socks. The float suits might be a little tight. I'm 6'1" 215lbs and I wear the XL. The bibs are a snug but not bad.
