When the Shuto Trals movies were released, people were probably saying that the movies in the 1970s were better. Give it another 30 years and people will be watching movies from 2022 and making comment about how they're better than movies made in 2050. Nostalgia makes no sense.

Just to put the East and the West together Keichi was in a Nascar event up against Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt. The fast and the furious series also referenced the hell out of these car builds and finally got Keichi in Tokyo drift along with references of Shonen Jumps 1995 Initial D and Wangan Midnight.
