I find it crazy to think this video was published closer to the release date of the movie than to today. When the video was published it had been 10 years since the movie was released and it's now been 12 years since this video was published

I've been a fan of this film ever since seeing it, yet I never realized something about this scene until now: Caroline points out that Colleen shouldn't even be alive after being hit. Going by the film's themes of faith and everything happening for a reason, we can conclude that God was keeping Colleen alive so she could tell Graham what he needed to hear so that he could later save his family from the aliens (or demons, depending on how you interpret the film). And near the end, when she felt her life fading away, Colleen realized she was out of time and asked God to tell Graham to see, and for Merrill to swing away. But since Graham heard her, her purpose was complete, and she died.

So I caught this movie playing in Japan. I watched off and on with out sound since I was working. I instantly feel in love with this movie. That’s watching it without sound. Came back home and watched with sound. Absolutely love this movie and their characters

Mel and the sheriff's acting is phenomenal. It's a shame that Shyamalan's kindergarten sounding dialogue ruins the second half of the scene.

I like how people comment on this scene (time frame, whatever) while missing how powerful this moment is. I could not imagine speaking with my wife in this manner whn it is her last consciousness 😢

Fun fact: This was the first scene they shot for the movie and it was filmed on September 12, 2001. The cast and crew had a candle vigil

This was meant as an Oracle Visionary Moment, the phrase "tell him to see" and other "tell" is a command to something, she wasn't speaking to Graham, she was commanding the her physical body to speak from the dead of a vision of the future, it began with her saying: it was meant to be" which implies this was divine interjection into our world. I'm not trying to read to much into it, but knowing the Directors style, this seems more true. Excuse typos my thumbs were not made for thus tiny keyboard on my phone

Gretta attended Dan’s concert hoping that they can reconcile, but as Dan started changing the song, she realized that they can never be together. Not because of Dan’s different rendition, but because she saw his audience in awe. She knew he was a star, but it would harm her if she gets too close. I see the way Dan changing the song as them starting on good terms once more, but the same thing will gradually begin again, so she chose to leave at the end.
