i think both language creators need to be treated with respect because the moment you start to compare thats the start of the problem its fine to like one creator but its a dick move to bash the other

I think a lot of English fan games get lost in the sauce. Ultimately, a lot of Spanish fan games are still games made for kids, they aren't made too hard or whatever, they feel like brave new Pokemon games but pokemon games that could be made where a lot of English fan games are games for adults while failing to add things adults would find compelling outside of it being hard [and most adults don't want a particularly hard game when they open up a Pokemon game]. I also think a big factor in quality of spanish fan games is community like you said. They are sharing stuff between each other. Folks are gearing up to voice act bits of things. The spanish fan direct itself is a sign of the strong community binding. It's a lot more like the Sonic Fan game scene in that way where SAGE events would start to develop legitimately great game developers who are now making their own games. Ultimately, spanish vs English is pointless like we're all fans of Pokemon and all probably have different ideal Pokemon games in our head but I think the general quality is pretty high atm out of the spanish conmunity where it's a bit more scatter shot in English.

No offense to the many people who like Ashen Frost but I just don't get it. It seems like something I would never play. It is exactly because its not traditional pokemon. I like fan games for their amazing stories like Vanguard or Unbreakable Ties as you mentioned while still being traditional pokemon gaming.

I speak both languages, and Spanish games are better by far, that guy lostie made some of the best game with Z, Opalo and others, I found some english ones to be TOO EDGY

Actually, IMO, it started with Pokemon Xenoverse. That game was heavily loved and respected that started the wave. But i tend to look forward to and enjoy The Spanish games more than the English ones. Ive seen so many versions of Emerald, its almost making me physically ill. Generally speaking? Yes! The best English ones are still goated and are probably some of the best fan games ever but generally the Spanish fangames put out nowadays are better then the English ones.

and another thing that i want to add, in my opinion, spanish fangames are more colorful than english ones, the english ones are all edgies and dark, just gray and black tones with blood.

I think in terms on graphics, Spanish fangames are unmatched But in terms of fakemon/new regional form designs, English ones are better IMO.

Honestly, no. While the Spanish community have more consistency with better games, no doubt, the English ones have a lot that go outside the norm, and they can have a lot of quality.

Right now I am waiting for the following fan games to complete Pokemon Vanguard Pokemon Flux Pokemon Unbreakable Ties Pokemon Z Pokemon Impetu Pokemon Rekkles Pokemon Olympus These are all top-tier IMO but sadly all of them arent complete yet :(

Really like Pokemon Bizzare, very fun game, I struggled with Hidden Place not quite sure what I didn't like but have kept it cos knowing me it was probably just how I felt that day.

I dunno if I may recommend Pokemon Fan Game hidden gems whatever, but if so: Ever heard of Vinemon? It's basically a not so 100% seriously taken Pokemon Adventure, or should I say Vinemon Adventure, because new region, around 200 new Pok-- Vinemon, alot of QoL stuff that should be in the main games, online(!!) multiplayer options, including features from Gen 4 like underground mineral search, Shinies with more then just recoloured sprites, a poke.. Vinedex that tells you stats, breedability, learnable TMs, moves the user can learn, completly new music made to sound like Gen 3 GBA titles and more!
