Hadn't seen this. You described much of what I felt discovering them!! Amy is one of the coolest humans and this band is one of the greatest. Love that the little girl was singing Security haha. Much love

Dethroning Muse? What a stupid headline. They are both unique bands with fantastic vocalists. I don't think there is any need to even say that.

Saw them at Slam Dunk in 2018 just before Enter Shikari came on and they were absolutely incredible, looking back during the breakdown of thug workout and seeing the pit full of people doing pushups is something I'll never forget.

Do you like Don Broco? Their early work was a bit too pop-punk for my taste, but when Automatic came out in 2015, I think they really came into their own-commercially and artistically. The whole album has a slick, polished sound and a confident swagger that really makes it stand out. They’ve been compared to a lot of other rock bands, but I think Don Broco has a far more dynamic, genre-blending style that sets them apart. In 2018, they released Technology, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is Everybody. A song so catchy, most people probably don’t notice the lyrical depth. But they should, because it’s not just about the hooks; it’s about the attitude. The album’s peak is definitely Come Out to LA, which really showcases the band’s ability to mix heavy riffs with pop sensibilities. Rob Damiani’s vocals are particularly strong on this track, and the band's energy is infectious. Personally, I think Technology is the finest album they’ve released, and Everybody remains a timeless anthem of their style.

Loved Don Broco's "tory-core" era, but it did feel very clunky. Fell in love with them during Priorities, but their sound more recently feels such a perfect fit for them. The music seems a lot more free and the band is able to explore so much more with it.

they are a band that play best to a crowd rather than on an album - they sound great live and the atmosphere has been awesome at 2 shows ive seen I like some of their earlier stuff and dont quite get the criticism but they are certainly getting in a good stride now and whilst they take a break for the rest of 2024 to write new material it will be exciting to see what they come up with!

Glastonbury started out as the best festival I’d ever been to…in ‘79, ‘84, ‘86 and ‘87. The first 3 were amazing, even though ‘84 was rained on for 2 days straight and turned into a mud bath with huge mud slides everywhere, it was still brilliant because the people there made it brilliant and they were ALL there to see the artists play!! By ‘87 you could see where it was going…there were Yardie drug dealers lining the entrance to the main stage, and rich luvvies from London slumming it with the lower classes…it was repellent in places, but you could still find that original freedom…if you avoided the coppers who were being allowed directly into the festival! Nowadays you couldn’t pay me to go. It’s been taken over by the monied classes, the same sh*t that happened with the football. And it SUCKS! I’m so glad I made it to those original festivals…by far and away the best! And I was so glad when the acid house/rave scene began, as that was a return to the original ethos of the early Glastos…no coppers, no idiots, do whatever you wanna do…and amazing music that everyone was there for!! DJing those gigs was a blast!

Thanks so much for the quick history of the band. I discovered them for myself two months ago and am super deep into their musical world. It doesn't happen often that I listen to an album (hell, or even all of them) over and over again. But nothing but thieves are just hitting the right spots in my brain and releasing dopamine :D

Having seen these tonight, live at Leeds Millennium Square, loved them for a good few years now. My adult nephew came along with me to look after me.😆🤷♀️ He’d only heard a couple of their songs, he’s into heavy rock so I was worried it wouldn’t be his thing. We had the best night and made the most amazing memories! Thank you Nothing But Theives for being there through some of the hardest years of my life. You blew us away tonight.❤xxxx

that thumbnail is very ironic considerin gi came to know Nothing But Thieves through Muse. They were their support act for the Drones festival tour and they had just started out. I was really intrigued but it wasn't until i saw them just a few weeks ago this time supporting Green Day, where i could finally hear many of the new songs from Dead Club City that i've finally fallen in love with them. Discovered Royal Blood the same way, though i did keep up with them since the first time i heard them. Both bands have been fantastic so far and i can't wait to see what else they have in store. Dead Club City is probably my favourite album this year.

What this video doesn't mention is (I believe) the reason they have such a massive following is that their live shows are fucking wild, always an excellent atmosphere, always well produced.
