Thanks so much Wendy for showing all the highlights of this brood they are so nice to watch again & would you believe it Mum & Dad are back again tonight 23/24 turned up way past 9pm lovely to see them, thanks again.

Thanks Nick, unfortunately missed them coming in last night but will do a vid of them leaving this morning ... such a bonus being able to see their actions with no youngsters to care for, be sad when they finally leave these shores

@@wendybartter1687 They could stay up to about a week from fledged chicks. They turn up around 9pm, I shall watch the live cam to see.

@@wendybartter1687 Have you got a clip of what I call the pyramid of chicks on the nest cup, 2 older chicks below & little chick sitting on top of them all facing the camera, it happened a few times & was a great picture I should have taken a screen shot but never did, great if you have got this & post on youtube?

@@wendybartter1687 Its similar but not the one I was thinking of, Little chick nitrally sat on the top of the 2 larger chicks forming a pyramid facing the camera it only occured 2/3 times, I think I noted as a cute view or similar to watch in comments? I have clicked subscribed ALL (never used before so what happens now?)

This was the saddest thing to see from this brood, the actions of the parent with the food are heart breaking to watch, it even left the box & came back later still with the food in its mouth in the hope the chick would be their to feed, sadly it had already fledged 7/8 minutes earlier. The parent had the food in its mouth for I think it was over half an hour in the hope of feeding it. In the end the parent slowly gulped it down & eat it itself.😥😥

Been so wet/windy/cool almost everywhere, my heart goes out to all nesting birds as the insect count is just so low for this time of year , quite frightening really, such a lack of bees & butterflies too!😪
