Many, many hours on the flight deck of the US Hancock with VF-51.between 1965 through 1967....always looked forward to going to olongapo for R and R ... great copycat bands who didn't speak english but sounded just like the originals. Monkey meat tasted sooo good going back to the ship after a fun day in the bars, falling in love for the day, or hour...lol So disappointing that the original town was bulldozed after the US was kicked out. Shakeys was the first place I ever drank beer...as a 15 year old dependent in 1974. I got so drunk I puked in the movie theater on Magsaysay watching Zardoz but I loved every minute of it. Dad was stationed at Cubi but retired in 1977 and owned the Casa Del mar compound and Del Mar boat works in Barrio Baretto until 1985. I will never forget my idyllic childhood in the Philippines

I was in the navy but was on the east coast. I heard a lot about subic bay as a great libery port. Never got to go there. My two company commamders were Phillipinos. I never met any one from the Philippines in my life until i went into the Navy. The Philippines lost 2 million people in world war 2 fighting the Japanese. Looks like china is the problem now. The globalists built china up for their third great cataclysm. Let the sheeple sleep. Too complex for them. Like the pictures wish I could have went there.

In the summer and fall of 1980 I was one of (supposedly) only two round eyed woman living in Olongapo. Had an apartment above Papagios on Gordon Street. My husband was deployed for 6 months. I followed him unsponsored. Wish I could go back.

Wow, at 3:30 the beautiful young lady is my ex wife. Her family owned clubs and businesses around Olongapo and she was a college student when I met her. I was stationed there then in 1977-78 at Cubi Pt. I had already been there on liberty during my USMC days in the early 70's. Switched to the Navy and did 2 tours there as well as numerous WestPac's. Great times!

USS Sacramento AOE-1 went twice, 1977 and 1980. What a place. I used to go to the Viva Young club and stay at the Skyline hotel on Rizal.

Pinatubo erupted. man i loved it there. watch a lot of videos of Philippines now and look even nicer
