Hello from Seattle, work on velvet is so challenging. I embroidered on it on table cover and coffee table but it took a while for me.

Hi all. Catching up via replays. You probably already know the difference between velvet, velveteen and velour. You mentioned that some of your velvets are stiffer than others. This may be the reason - Velvet is plush made with longer fibers of polyester, rayon, or silk. Velveteen has short closely woven fibers and made from cotton, or cotton and silk. Is really firm, no stretch and drapes less than velvet. I prefer velveteen over velvet for jackets. Velour is quite plush with fibers in length between velvet and velveteen. It is typically made from cotton blend and is stretchy. Velour looks more expensive than velvet. Fabrics are my forte’

I just loved watching all you girls. It’s fun to put a face to your names that I see all the time on our shows. I’ve been selling up a storm. I don’t know if Angela had a chance to see a few other things that I have done but I finally made that one Daughter really happy ha ha ha Because I redid the dress that was all sequins exactly the way she wanted it. Anyway, thank you for showing us how to make our own shorts that one day were you just laid the shorts on top of the fabric and created a pattern when I did was I laid dress that I would fit her on top of my material and then cut it out so now I have a custom pattern for her. Not happy about my fancy buttons for my pink jacket and I went too far and should’ve just stayed with more simple ones that aren’t hard to get in and out of the buttonholes.

Angels, you could always put a piece of lace at the v neck start to cover the low cut. I keep lace pieces on hand for low necklines.
