You have one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. I was privileged to hear you in Turandot at WNO and in a lovely Xmas recital at the National Gallery of Art in DC. Glad to be another DMV resident! I wish you made more recordings!

This has to be toward the end of his career here if Steven Mercurio is conducting.

This is terrible. The director must be in training. Fleming is moving all over the stage. She seems drunk. I'm sure there are other performances that are better (?)

When I imagine Luciano Pavarotti or Placido Domingo singing in such an bullshit arrangement lying on the floor, then you can imagine how well Jonas Kaufmann masters this aria under these circumstances.

If Giacomini had known to lighten up, get the lead out, he would have been incredible.

For me René Fleming;s performance is the gold standard of this aria. What a joy to experience this.

I don’t think anyone nailed this aria more than she ever did this is flawless it doesn’t mean others don’t sound beautiful it just simply means this is literal perfection on her part. Wow

All young tenors should listen to this guy! This is how we audiences want a tenor to sound. Got it?

If giacomini was even 4 inches taller and slightly better looking, he would have been bigger than Domingo most certainly

Despite my love for Silja, I regret to say that her voice and technique don’t quite meet the demands of Verdi's music in Macbeth. Formally, she is good, but it’s boring to listen to. In any performance, the key is to feel the nature of the music, to have the necessary vocal technique and, of course, a voice as vocal material. But despite all her talent, the nature of her temperament, rooted in her German heritage, became an insurmountable barrier to penetrating the essence of the role of Lady Macbeth.

I saw Denyce Graves live on stage in the 1990s. I loved her Carmen. She remained the best Carmen I’d ever seen until Anita Rachvelishvili came along in 2017 and blew every other Carmen right out of the water.
