The 1990's sucked. From the blah blah blah record to going sober to traversing in some ghetto in a big city. ANd pulling your wand out in France in 1991 etc... And you were sober right... Heh. Haha.

I remember during Step in the Arena they were getting boxed in as jazz rap artists which I believed irritated them. Thats why Hard to Earn and albums then on had a different sound. Preemo stepped his chop game up.

Cube and Yo Yo performed that song like it was a live rap battle. The way the crowd laughed and cheered after each of their verses.

I lived on this block in 1993: I hit the roof when I saw this, because I walked by this very interview with Iggy walking down East 9th Street (how could I forget), I was hoping to see my much younger self walk by but I didn't make the cut. But the bakery (I used to play the NBA Jam game with neighborhood kids), Chico (I had a t-shirt of his),all of it is in this time capsule that brings so many memories back! It was still a little rough in '93, but it was also fun, relaxing and genuine.

It's funny how he walks past the gutter punks and they don't even look up and realize who just passed by them. I got to see Iggy play live around the time of this interview and he was amazing. It is great to hear his take on various musicians like Ice T and the Dylan bootleg stuff.

That guy who killed the Swiss woman, his girlfriend, was this dude named Daniel. I def remember him. My former neighborhood. I remember when Iggy lived in the Christodora House on Avenue B. This was the year he played the infamous gig at The Continental. Killer show!
