You know NOTHING about the world championship, right? The finals consists of 12 games... this was the last game and Carlsen was leading, so he only needed a draw to win.

It's fun watching this when you know nothing about chess, the rules, the pawns... It looks like they both had the same amount on the board at the end, why Carlsen won is beyond me. I think the other guy won too, they all just decided that Carlsen looked cooler or something.

And that's how it is. When a King steps down and a new King rises. Anand was a real champ, to defend his title again and again well into chess old-age, so the new champion could be a real, certified champ. And that champ is the greatest of all time.

It changes nothing. There's very little to say in a position where the outcome's obvious in a multi hour game. It's just the normal tone for a classical match.

It's so cool hearing Tania Sachdev and Lawrence Trent commentating this, way back in 2013. They've been supporting chess and helping popularise the game for so long. Great ambassadors for the sport!
