Late to the party, but dude fuck yes. I’ve thought of THIS song THIS WAY for soooo long. I know many a fella who’ve literally had, and shared with me, this exact concept but no one ever actually went out and did it. And thank God you did. Beautiful work guys.

This one completely surprised me. Brilliant. I actually do this on rare occasions - sing or hum a showtune and listen for what genre could go with the melody. So this channel was a very welcome find yesterday evening! :)

A matchbox of our own A fence of real chain link, A grill out on the patio Disposal in the sink A washer and a dryer and an ironing machine In a tract house that we share Somewhere that's green. He rakes and trims the grass He loves to mow and weed I cook like Betty Crocker And I look like Donna Reed There's plastic on the furniture To keep it neat and clean In the Pine-Sol scented air Somewhere that's green Between our frozen dinner And our bedtime, nine-fifteen We snuggle watchin' Lucy On our big, enormous twelve-inch screen I'm his December Bride He's Father, he Knows Best Our kids play Howdy Doody As the sun sets in the west A picture out of Better Homes and Gardens magazine Far from Skid Row I dream we'll go Somewhere that's green.

Whoever arranged this…God bless you!!🔥💯 This was incredible from start to finish. Some notable moments for me were that smooth keyboard riff at 0:53🔥, and that upward riff from Alita at 2:42 paired with those smooth BGVs. Ya’ll cooked on this one!🔥👏

Nothing about this is R&B. It sounds awesome! Her vocals are crazy! But seriously, stop mislabeling the genre. Y'all do that a lot.
@RebekahStevens-m1xАй бұрын
It’s in the style of 90s R&B. Think Brandy and Monica’s “The Boy is Mine” or Whitney Houston’s “It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay” era of music. So, it’s definitely not mis-labeled. In reality, modern-day R&B is mislabeled…it’s really hip-hop labeled as R&B
@evand2Ай бұрын
@@RebekahStevens-m1x except it's not in that style in any way, shape or from. I'm not sure what you listened to, but you've either never heard r&b or you just have bad ears. 🤷
@RebekahStevens-m1xАй бұрын
@@evand2 listen to Destiny’s Child, TLC, and other late 90s R&B songs and you’ll hear that it sounds similar to this arrangement. No, it doesn’t sound like SZA or H.E.R.’s version of modern R&B. But this arrangement is an ode to late 90s/early 2000s R&B. It kind of reminds me of J. Lo’s early 2000’s R&B music
@evand2Ай бұрын
@@RebekahStevens-m1x I was born in the 80's and grew up on 90s pop, r&b, rap, etc. I know what I'm talking about. You aren't exposing me to music I haven't heard before. I have most TLC albums memorized
@RebekahStevens-m1xАй бұрын
@@evand2 okay, so since you grew up in that decade, you’d know that what at least was “marketed” as R&B during that era sounded like this arrangement. During the late 90s/ early 2000s, they explored more electronic sounds in R&B with slight pop elements to it. I think we’re thinking about two different sounds in the R&B genre.
