Great advice on removing this stuff. I'm planning to use Sikaflex in place of standard caulk so it's not all dirty in time, and it's good to know that it's removable, as it is an adhesive. If you're looking to do a DIY fix on paint scratches just to make it not rust, you could get a paint pen from AutoZone or the like. They have OEM colors and top coat. It'll blend in pretty well, too.

Not sure I have never tried it but I would say it will work. The Caramel wheel removes a multitude of residues, flies, silicons, Sikaflex, and decals. Even try warming it up with a heat gun to soften it up a bit.

How did you get on? I used tiger seal to attach the rear spoiler on my bootlid but it hasn't stuck properly and I need to remove it and redo the job again but I need to remove any traces of the Tiger seal first.

@@REXandJAY I haven't started yet, I've brought some Acetone gel from ebay and I'm waiting for it to be delivered. I'm off work all next week so if it's dry I'm going to have a go then and see how I get on, I've got a feeling it could be a bit of a mission though...

If ever you are stuck for a new Sikaflex nozzle, the old one can be re-used after boiling in water for 2 or 3 minutes when it will slide out like solid rubber. At least I found the 227 variety will.
