Not usually but you can slide the bolt back and if there's a gap between the lrbho add a quarter
@diceydie-c7 ай бұрын
Im doing this with my aero epc 9 right now. My bolt was coming too far back and sticking towards the rear so I threw two quarters down in the buffer tube and that seemed to fix it 100% but now I can't get the last round bolt hold up and to actuate. And then now when I take the quarters out the last round bolt hold open will work but it holds the bolt when they're still rounds left in the magazine so I think my last round bolt hold up and must be bent
@ashash4tube7 ай бұрын
Yeah sounds bent
@SETSfirearms8 ай бұрын
I've been doing this for years with rifle buffers tubes using carbine spring and buffers, fill up a carbine buffer, then put all quarters in those in the rifle tube, put a red marked quarter on top, fill it with more quarters and everything past the red quarters is what you need

Thanks for sharing. It's funny it took me 6 months to figure out that my 9mm BCG is .75 inches shorter than a standard BCG. A standard buffer is 3.25 inches in length, and they sell a 4-inch buffer to address this. And like you show in the video you can use quarters or a buffer spacer. The other thing I finally learned was the need to get your buffer system and BCG to a weight above 22 ounces. I accomplished this by buying a 7.6-ounce buffer, 1.8-ounce standard buffer spring and my 12.6-ounce BCG. Lastly, if you have ejection issues search youtube for tuning your 9mm pcc and review how to adjust the ejector in your lower. Good luck, I hope this helps others. -GB

I bought the aero heavy 9mm weight and it needed no quarters. Or put in 1 quarter to stop the bcg exactly at the bolt catch with no extra rear room.

Depends on how much you're wanting to spend on a basic setup any bolt that's nitride with magnetic particle inspection is great if you're looking for good coatings to make it easy to clean and buttery smooth titanium nitride or PVD is great cryptic bolt carriers have some of the best coatings

@@jerryv9962 most 9mm hand guns are around that length . With the right sites you can take really long shots. I prefer the shorter barrels for my builds because they're safer with all types of ammo where longer barrels can be dangerous with heavy ammo if not balance properly (buffer)
