The AI narration has a number of errors. I own a show winning 1975 coupe with Ghia trim. The Mustang II is not a Pinto. Nothing is shared but the rear axle on the 4 cyl model. 3 engines were available in a Mustang II. A 302 V8 was available in the fastback. While my favorite Mustang is my 66 2+2 270 hp fastback......without the Mustang II the Mustang would have died. Thx

No mention of reliability and common problems or issues. So much time mentioning other generations. Not a good review at all.

And then, when Allied restrictions on German engineering were relaxed in 1949 , diesel engines were allowed to be built again. To my knowledge the Americans especially had equated diesel engines with military machinery. That was the birthday of the 170D that underwent a number of refits until the last of them rolled from the conveyor belts in 1955, two years after the petrol cars had made way for the 180 series. The robust diesel became popular with the taxi business. They seemed to run for ever. Fuel consumption was something like 7- 7.5 liters of diesel on 100 km. That is 33 miles per American gallon. The very same engine was used in another iconic vehicle of the postwar period: the "universal motorized device" - better known under its acronym Unimog.

The two horizontal slits for ventilation at the engine hood did not replace the older almost vertical "gills" until the early 1950s with the last models of the long-running 170 family.

I'm a baby boomer who grew up looking at late fifties cars. Everyone loves Chevys from the second half of the fifties including 1958 Chevys. Fords from that time were also pretty cool, but the 1958 Ford was UGLY!

Did you just say Grover Mercedes!?? You did!! I've watched it 5 times to give you the benefit of the doubt. Was hoping someone on this planet that was either 12 years old or was living in a cave that had just discovered what happened in WW2!! Posted this video, or was just suffering from some mental condition. This auto was called the "Große Mercedes" meaning large, super or grand!!!! Absolutely not ",Grover" I really wish you ignorant People trolling for clicks would at the very least search google and TRY!!! to get facts correct... Please!!!!!! Educate before you post. Truly best of luck. Just research first!!

Of the hundred cars that reached buyers, all but two were bought back - one was owned by a country doctor who refused the offer of a replacement water-cooled engine or car and is now in the (ex-Harrah's) National Auto Museum in Reno, and the other was bought by Ford for evaluation and turned over to the Henry Ford Museum - the HFM car seems to be the one with the most photos out there.

I owned a white 1959-9 seat Limo in RHD. I have been told only 9 were made and Idi Amin was one of the nine original owners. It was a barn find and I intended to restore it. I changed my mind and sold it after a trip to ICU. I felt too mortal to invest the time restoring it. I had already restored a BMW race car and knew what would have been involved in restoring a rarer car.

Also never got it, why this should be the 2nd gen. or the Mustang II. What about those huge 1970s Mustangs ("Boss", "Mach 1"...) ? They clearly weren't the same car as the original Mustang from 1964. So this small Mustang should be the 3rd gen...

That makes sense the coupe would've been continued for '70 since it was nearly the same as the '69 except for the grill and taillights.

My husband had a 74 with the 4 cyl engine. It was his first brand new car. He said his had all sorts of mechanical problems but I think they got better after the first year or two. But he traded it in after just over a year. I think it had like 102 HP. It was long gone before we even met but he has photos of it. I don't know if it was an option or an aftermarket part, but the mustand in the grill was illuminated and I thought that was neat. But no AC, no power windows, only an AM radio, I don't think it had power steering or power brakes even. Despite the problems he ran the wheels off of it. He said he put almost 34,000 miles on it the year he had it.
